Glynda and Ozpin look out the window as they observe the people below and the airships flying by and landing at the Beacon port.
Glynda remarks. "Ironwood certainly loves bringing his work wherever he travels."
Ozpin replies. "Well, running an academy and a military makes him busy. But yes, those are a bit of an eyesore."
A chirping beep sounds repeatedly. Ozpin turns to see a hollow message 'Access Requested' on his desk. He says. "Come in."
Ironwood greets. "Ozpin!"
Ozpin stands at attention. "Hello, General."
Ironwood addresses them in a friendly manner. "Please, drop the formalities."
Ironwood and Ozpin approach and shake hands as Glynda also approaches. Ironwood says. "It's been too long. And Glynda! It has certainly been too long since we last met."
Glynda gives a personable wave and then drops all pleasantries. "Oh, James! I'll be outside."
Beside James Ironwood was an older gentleman. He was sitting on a device with mechanical legs. Ozpin says. "I presume this is Dr. Polendina?"
Ironwood nods. "That's correct. He is here to meet with one of your students that he has been working with."
Pietro moves forward. "Greetings, Headmaster. As you already know, I am Pietro Polendina. I've been working with your student, Jaune Arc. He has been helping me advance the A.I. for the Atlesian Knights and with the upgrade of the software of the CCTS. I want to say you have one remarkable student."
Ozpin was shocked to hear that. "I'm surprised that Mr. Arc has such talents to be praised by Atlas' most brilliant mind."
Pietro laughs. "Yes, Atlas. However, if we say most brilliant mind in Remnant, I'm afraid that title wouldn't fall on me. Working with Jaune has been the best thing that has happened for Atlas. He has advanced our software decades ahead of our time. Give him a few months, and he may advance it further. The young man showed me a few issues with the CCTS software, which I am here to rectify."
Ozpin nodded at him. "By all means, you have my permission to access the CCTS administration level. Can I ask, how severe is the issue with the CCTS?"
Pietro had a serious look. "Very! Many back doors have been created without anyone knowing. If there is someone knowledgeable enough to how the system was created, they would be able to exploit those backdoors and gain access to all devices connected to the CCTS."
Ozpin replies. "Then I would have to thank you for coming here to mitigate the issue."
Pietro shook his head. "You shouldn't be thanking me. Even I wouldn't have been able to spot the loopholes within the system. You should thank Jaune for that."
Ozpin thinks for a moment. "Then I would have to thank Mr. Arc the next time I meet him."
Pietro left the office and headed to the students' quarter to meet with his daughter. This is a rare chance for him to do so outside of Atlas.
James then comes forward. "By the way, Ozpin. What happened to the Emerald Forest and the Forever Fall? There were massive areas of the forest that had been destroyed."
Ozpin sighed. "The Forever Fall was due to a passing Huntsman who fought with a Grimm. His semblance seemed to have been quite destructive. As for the Emerald Forst? We are still looking into it. We don't know how, but the cameras showed us nothing was wrong. When Qrow came over to speak with me, he informed us of the situation. But there is nothing to worry about. I believe this was due to the same Huntsman that caused the damage to the Forever Fall. The evidence shows that the scenes were identical. A powerful pressure destroyed it."
