Chapter Thirty: Days at The Leopard Tribe Castle XIV It's The Principle

Memi looked like a fan, staring at her idol, and her mates were equally excited, their eyes fixed on me. I felt a little shy.

As I finished singing, Memi came running towards me, squealing, "You sound amazing! Wow." I giggled and shyly covered my face with my hands. "Thank you, Memi."

That's when her other mates came up, and one of them informed me that Harvey was outside. I beamed, thrilled to go see my love. I practically floated to him once I stepped out of Memi's room.

"My love, are you finally done?" I hooked my hands around his waist, peppering his face with kisses.

He seemed to melt in my embrace and said, "Yes, I arrived a little bit after you started singing. Are you ready to go?" I replied affirmatively, "yes, but before that, I had some good news to share with you"

He said, "So do I." I was very curious about what he had to say, so I nodded my head. Just as I was about to turn around to ask Memi to see me and bid her goodbye, she practically flew out of the room.

"Imara, you're leaving?" I smiled and nodded, saying, "Yes, I've completed everything I needed to do, and now that Parker is awake, it's time to return home. But don't worry, I'll come back every once in a while to see you and spend time together."

Memi's expression mirrored a little leopard cub's, so full of sadness. "I knew you'd be going home eventually, but it feels so fast. I'm really going to miss you." She hugged me tightly, squeezing my sides.

I laughed and returned the hug. "I'll be back, I promise. It won't be too long before I visit you."

"Do you pinky promise?" she asked with a playful grin. I couldn't help but chuckle. "Yes, Memi, I pinky promise."

Turning to Harvey, I exclaimed, "My love, I asked Memi to help train you to gain stripes, and she's agreed to have one of her mates train you!"

Harvey's eyes widened in surprise. "Really?"

"Yes, really." Memi stepped forward, affirming, "Yes, I will have James be your trainer." She continued, "He won't go easy on you, both Imara and I agree on that. You two can work out the details and proceed from there."

Harvey expressed his gratitude, saying, "Thank you, Queen Memi."

James, the chosen trainer, inquired, "When do you want to start?"

Harvey considered for a moment. "Can we begin within 8 days? Also, will I be traveling here or you to Camel Hump?"

James provided a plan. "It will be a combination of both, to build up your endurance. However, on your trips back home, I will accompany you, as you'll be in a weakened state after training. I'll come down to Camel Hump within a week's time. I'll see you there."

Harvey nodded, saying, "Yes, of course. See you soon."

Harvey turned to me, and I lifted my arms, silently asking him to pick me up. He complied, his sweet smile melting my heart.

"Goodbye, Memi. See you soon, my bestie!"

Memi smiled warmly. "Yes, goodbye! Don't forget our promise, or else I'll come and find you!"

I giggled. "I won't!" With that, Harvey started walking, carrying me in his arms.

Queen Memi's POV

Watching Imara, my dear friend, leave filled me with a mix of emotions. It's a rare thing to have a female companion. I can't say I'm close to any of the other kings' females. While we've had occasional meetings, our interactions remain quite limited. Most of us are consumed by matters that concern us directly.
