What is a faction? It is a place to fit in, to find people like you.
For a Kite, a faction was a place to spar and fight, to practise and train. For a Kite, a faction was an ally.
Kestrels see factions as allies too, but also trade partners, money scammers and kiss buddies. A Kestrel was a business partner to another Kestrel.
To be a part of the Nightingale faction is to be a family. A Nightingale does not leave another pirate behind. Nightingales are a family forever and always.
Herons see a faction as a friendly rivalry to keep a healthy competition, it is a place to discover and explore and share tidbits of history and adventure. Herons are competitors second and friends first.
For each faction, their own faction means something different and yet they all have one thing in common, they know that a faction means togetherness and safety.
