New Beginnings

Welcome to New York

Everyone got off the Carpathia, and I didn't know what to do from there. Jack was gone, I was avoiding my family, I have barely anything with me, and only $20 to try and live off. I decided to find a bed and breakfast to stay in while I try to figure out what I would do since it was the most affordable option.

I walked around for a while, and I found a bed and breakfast and decided to go in and try to book a room. I walked in and was greeted by the lady at the front desk. "Hello miss, my name is Mary. Are you looking to book a room or visit someone?" She said whilst smiling at Rose. "Hi, um do you have any available rooms?" she asked and forced a slight smile. "Yes, we do, it's not the biggest, but it's a nice room. How long are you planning on staying?" "Thank you, um is a two weeks okay?" "Of course miss! It's 3.50 a night." "Thank you," Rose said, relieved to of found a place to stay for the time being. "Okay, can I take your name please miss?" "um..." Rose didn't know what name to give the lady at the front desk. She can't say Rose DeWitt Bukater because if the rare chance her family comes looking for her they'll know it's her right away. She did not know whether or not to use Jack's last name, Dawson, because she had only been with him for three days but that was the name she had given the rescue officer on the Carpathia. "Miss? Can I take your name?" The front desk lady asked because Rose zoned out. "Oh... um yes sorry um Rose Dawson." She couldn't think of anything else other than Dawson and it makes her feel closer to Jack. "Okay your rooms all booked for you, it's room 105, breakfasts 8 am-11 am and dinners 5 pm-7 pm. Now let us get you to your room!" They both walked up the stairs to Rose's room.

"This is your room miss and here is your key!" "Thank you Mary" Rose forced another smile "Of course miss, get settled in and get ready for dinner, and if you need anything I will be right at the front desk!" Mary smiled at Rose and then went back to the front desk. Rose looked around and things didn't feel right without Jack, but she decided to have a nap and see if she felt better after. A few hours Rose woke up still not feeling right but had to get ready for dinner since it ended in an hour. She went down to the diner and got her food, she didn't eat much since she didn't have an appetite and then went back to her room, to go to bed.

Rose got to her room and walked in, got showered, put her nightgown on, and brushed her teeth. Rose went into the bedroom and sighed. "Is this really what my life is going to be like now?" She went straight to bed and fell asleep within a few minutes.
