New Beginnings

Make it count

April 26th 1912

It was the day before Anna left so her and Rose decided to make the most of it.

"So we'll go to the shopping centre, stop for lunch at the cafe and then return here to get ready, and then go to dinner at that fancy restaurant across the road. How does that sound?" Anna said telling Rose the plan for h day.  "That sounds great!" Rose replied happy to be able to spend the whole day with Anna but sad that she's leaving. "What time are you leaving tomorrow?" Rose asked hoping it was later in the day so they could spend it together again. "Erm I was thinking around 1pm." Anna gave Rose a small smile whilst still getting ready for the day. "We can have breakfast together and we can get a coffee before I go. If you want you can help me move and stay the night?" Anna said knowing it would make Rose happy and Rose gave Anna a hug. "Thank you so much, Anna. I don't know what I'd do here if I wouldn't of met you." "No problem Rose.  Now let's get going or we'll of lost the day."  

They went to the shopping centre and went in the clothing store first.  "I think this dress would look nice on you Rose." "Thanks Anna, I'll buy it. Rose bought the a few more dresses and some shoes and got a bag to go with it. Anna got a new dress and new pair of heels for  dinner later.  After that, they went to the jewellery store. "Rose do you like gold or silver more?" Anna asked. "Silver." Rose responded busy looking at all the jewellery sets.  "Anna do you think I'd look good with these earrings?" "Yes, they look pretty!" "Thanks I'll buy them."
They got their jewellery and Anna picked a necklace and earring set she found that she thought Rose would look nice in.  They went to the cafe and got their usual order before heading back to the bed and breakfast.

They walked in laughing and greeted Mary before heading to their rooms. They got dressed and met by the entrance of the bed and breakfast. "You look stunning Rose!" "Aw thank you so much Anna. You too!"  They went to the restaurant and the waiter showed them to their table. "Here's your table you two. I'll be back shortly to take your orders." "Thank you." They both said to him after sitting down and began looking through the menu. A few minutes later the waiter returned to get their drink order. "What would you two like to drink today?" "Can we both have some champagne please." Rose ordered for them both. The waiter left to get their drinks. He returned a minute or two later with the champagne. "Here's your drinks. Enjoy them!" "Thank you." The waiter came back five minutes later for their food order. "What would you two like to eat today?" "Can I have the salmon please."
Anna said. "I'll have the lamb please." Rose said. "That'll be ready for you both shortly."
They got their food and ate it and both got a cake for dessert along with a few more glasses of champagne. They finished their food around 8pm and decided to go to a bar.

They returned back at the bed and breakfast around 10pm and stumbled through the door both drunk and hysterically laughing over nothing together, causing Mary to have to help them to their room.  "Mary we had drinks tonight." Rose said speaking for both of them as if it wasn't already obvious they've been drinking. "Looks like you girls had fun then." Mary laughed a little. "Yep the food was really good Mary." Rose said. "Yea and then we went to a bar." Anna added. "Yea Mary, me and Anna went to the bar and got more drinks, It was really fun, you should of come with us!" "Rose we should've invited Mary." "We should've. Sorry we didn't invite you Mary." "It's okay girls. Looks like you two got to enjoy yourselves tonight." The whole time they walked up the stairs the two of them were laughing uncontrollably with Mary laughing at their little comments to each other.
"Goodnight girls, try get some sleep tonight."
"Okay Mary." Rose said. "Anna I'm going in your room don't tell Mary. Shhhh." Rose said thinking she was quiet and they were both still loudly laughing together. Mary waked back down the stairs laughing to herself at the girl's behaviour and knowing that Rose was allowed to got to Anna's room and they've been sleeping in each others rooms most nights.
