The Valentine's dance is just two days away, and anticipation is in the air. Josie and her friends have decided to make a trip to Hogsmeade to shop for dresses.

Josie efficiently packs her bag, eager to join Dorcas on their outing. As she contemplates what to get Regulus, she feels a mix of uncertainty and pressure. Relationships come with expectations, and she has little experience beyond a simple kiss.

Not being good at new things is something Josie dislikes. Maybe that's why she is so apprehensive about doing anything. Her subconscious habit of picking at her nails is a testament to her anxiety, and it brings her back to the present moment.

Pandora awaits near the common room door, greeting Josie with enthusiasm. A warm smile is exchanged before Dorcas and Pandora delve into conversation.

Walking outside, Josie's thoughts wander. There hasn't been a recent meeting, and she wonders if Tom has taken notice as he hasn't sent any letters summoning her. Today, she needs to find the horcrux and speak with Helena.

"Jo?" Pandora's voice brings her back to reality as they have already reached the outdoors.

"Sorry, what?" Josie asks, refocusing her attention.

Pandora laughs, and they join the boys. Josie stands next to Regulus, exchanging smiles with him. They all begin their walk to Hogsmeade.

"You know, Josie..." Barty suddenly speaks up, "I need to ask you something."

"Hm?" She hums, her hands fidgeting, and she notices a slight bleed from a nail she has been picking at. She attempts to stop it.

"A boy in Slytherin claims you hexed him the other night," Barty reveals.

Josie's gaze shoots to Barty's, a sense of urgency in her tone. "I told him to keep quiet," she replies, sensing the others' glances.

Regulus asks with concern, "What happened?"

A look from Pandora tells Josie that her friend prefers not to reveal the details. "He was being insufferable," Josie states bluntly, "but it's fine. I handled it. He better not go running to any professors, though."

"I think we've corrupted our Josette with our dark influence," Evan chimes in playfully, putting an arm around her.

Josie scoffs and laughs as she shrugs off Evan's arm. As the others continue their conversations, Josephine and Regulus walk at the back.

"You really hexed that boy?" Regulus asks, raising an eyebrow.

"Why is it such a big deal?" Josie retorts.

Regulus shrugs. "Maybe because you've never done something like that, at least not that we know of."

"Well" She crosses her arms. "It doesn't matter"

"You're quite good at magic though" He says suddenly "I've seen you do wandless magic a lot"

Josie uncrosses her arms and looks down. "I'm just better at advanced spells. Potions, I'm not so good at."
