Equal Parts Human

Somedays, my girlfriend looks at me and says, "Are you even real?"

Lol

Girl, I don't even know what to tell that girl

I'm a Black, gay, Christian girl, and I'm in an interracial relationship.

Somedays, it seems like I'm a walking contradiction, but

I wouldn't trade my authenticity for the world.

I love that God made me different, but I wish people were as kind as God.

Both of us grew up in homophobic, semi-racist homes.

We were under the impression that you can't be gay and Christian,

but our relationship with God is a top priority in both of our lives and if we didn't have God

our relationship wouldn't have worked out.

I'd be dead by now from pain and loneliness.

People of this world condemn what they don't understand, and I don't know if they care about the damage they do to their loved ones around them.

This doesn't mean that we give up!

You have no idea what kind of friend God has been to me.

He tells us that the people here don't think like he does because he is on a higher level of understanding, and I'm so grateful.

Have you ever heard of the saying, "We miss 100% of the shots we don't take"

this saying can be applied to our faith as well.

The world wants us to think that because of who you lay down with (your sexuality) you're outside of the love of God because you're being defiant to his will.

I refuse to think that my sexuality is the only part of my heart the Lord sees because that's not what his word says.

The enemy wants you to give up on God because of the judgment of people,

because once you've decided not to follow Christ

you've already chosen your destination.

Please don't make it this easy for the enemy.

God is equal parts of love and justice.

if you're having doubts, like we all do...

talk to him,

because he and only he can judge you.

When we reach the end of time

the Lord will ask you what happened and you'll have to answer him, please don't let your reason for not having a relationship with him be somebody else, because nothing we have here on earth is coming with you and we'll only have ourselves to blame.

No one is perfect

I repeat NO ONE is perfect

but still, we chase perfection

because it's the right thing to do.

-Did you know, it's a sin to eat shellfish?

(I know I've eaten that)

-Did you know it's seen as unclean to eat pork?

(I don't like Pork but I know I've tried it quite a few times)

-Did you know we aren't supposed to cut our hair?

(I know most of us are guilty of this one)

-Did you know we're not supposed to get piercings and tattoos?

(Wow, I'm guilty again! What about you?)

The difference is all these things have been made acceptable by society

God knows you better than you know yourself

and he wants us to do better when we know better and never stop trying.

None of us deserve to be in the kingdom of God as creatures of sin, but

Through His mercy and grace, we all have a way to enter!

I don't know about you, but Hell sounds too hot for me to take the risk of going there

                                                                   it just ain't worth it!
