CHAPTER 5: unwanted reunion (part 1)

(AT THE CANDY TAVERN)

After Marceline told her friends about where Jaune came from and what he's been through after his transcripts were revealed, They, along with the tavern's customers, were really shocked & mad at hearing what Marcy said

Finn: ...woah, what a bunch of nards.

He said with stern eyes as Huntress wizard nodded in agreement

Jake: and they're supposed to be heroes in training?! What a waste.

He said angrily as he crossed his arms

Simon: not to mention that they're also your friends that betrayed you over a sheet of paper. What a disgrace....no offense, Jaune.

Jaune: none taken, and I'm pretty sure that my ''ex'' friends & family, minus saphron's, disgraced their family names when they did all that crap to me back on Remnant.

Bonnie: if I met them, I would've just put them in my dungeon.... Or punish them via community service to teach them a lesson in a more humane way.

Then starchy walked up to their table with a worried look

Starchy: um, Jaune, didn't you say that one of your ex friends was wearing a red hood?

The gang looked at starchy in surprise, mostly jaune as his eyes widened in shock while staring at him

Jaune: Why are you asking me this?

He asked as starchy pointed out the window and they see, much to Jaune's shock & disappointment, teams RWBY & JNPR and (MUCH TO HIS HATE) Cardin, much to his delight, Team CFVY, Saphron & her family

But when he sees a banana guard pointing at the bar's direction after June showed him a poster of Jaune, he ran away from the window and back with Marcy, her friends, and the customers

Jaune: you guys stall them while me and Marceline get far away from my ex friends, along with the guy who ruined my life out there.

He then grabbed Marceline's hand, which made her blush, and they ran out the back entrance of the tavern

Then the remnant gang walked in, who were greeted with glares by everyone in the bar

Nora: um, a banana man told us that a friend of ours was in here.

???: psst, is he a human wearing a bunny hoodie? Cuz he was here, he just left by the way.

Then Yang walked towards him

Yang: but you do know where he's going right?

Squid patron: yep, only if you people do something for me.

Weiss: (sighs annoyingly) like what, exactly?

She asked

Squid patron: here, just take this plasma knife and STAB my hand with it!!! 

Phyrra: excuse me, what?

Squid patron: yeah, just a quick stab, right in the ole palm...or tentacle (groans) JUST DO IT!!!

(meanwhile with marcy's friend's table)

Jake: (whispers) that is one weird patron over there.

He whispered to finn & the gang, who nodded in agreement

(Back with the remnant gang)

Coco sighed and grabbed the knife, then raised it up

Coco: you drive a very hard bargain, shadow friend.

She said as she then stabbed him in his tentacle arm, making him scream in pain

Squid patron: (screams) YOU BASTARD, THAT'S INCREDIBLY PAINFUL!!!!

He yelled in agony

Ren: ok, now can you tell us.

Squid patron: I will..... right after you stab my other hand.

He said as everyone in the tavern deadpanned at what he said

(IF ANYONE Is wondering about why the stabbing scene is familiar to some of you, it's because it was inspired from this scene from FINAL SPACE)
