The Irregular at Magic High School: Mayumi Route

Volume 39: World War 4: Part 2

Tatsuya and Angie's team started their first mission by sneaking into Shanghai, where weapon supplies were being sent from. As they emerged from the sea in specially designed suits, the group of six quickly grouped behind a large warehouse.

The team consisted of Tatsuya, Angie, Kyouko, Masaki, Titan and Iapetus. The last two were people put forward by Angie for the mission. They specialized in stealth, making them useful for these covert operations which the team were going to be doing.

Quickly, the team split into two groups: one with Tatsuya, Kyouko and Masaki, and the other with the remaining three.

Tatsuya's group were there to create a distraction while Angie's group went in to collect the weapons that were housed in the warehouse beside the port.

Quickly, Tatsuya's team rushed in, hiding behind stacks of oil barrels before he signalled to attack, throwing something into the air. Once that object reached its highest point, Tatsuya shot it, creating a flashbang effect and blinding everyone around.

"Now!"

He jumped up, firing Decomposition spells towards all the targets in sight, before spotting a flash in the corner of his eyes, "Masaki! Cover me!"

"Got it!"

Masaki quickly rolled to the side, took out his CAD and started chain-firing Rupture towards the enemies, creating red rain in the sky.

Tatsuya took the opportunity to run forward through the mayhem and reach the roof of the building, taking out the snipers positioned on top, "Fujibayashi! Can you deal with the other side!"

He shouted towards her, pointing towards the large construction crane which wasn't in use. On the very top, she could see multiple people crouched down and aiming at her, forcing her to move.

Swiftly, she dodged the precise sniper bullets, only focusing on her defence before leaping into the air. Under her feet, she summoned a plate of air, giving her enough force to move upwards at a rapid pace.

Within a second, the snipers positioned high up lost sight of her and as another second passed, all they could see was the pitch black night sky surrounded by the strong wind whilst falling to their deaths.

"Backups on their way! Get ready!"

As those three prepared to fight once more, the others were busy entering the warehouse full of weapons. They had been freshly delivered a couple hours before they arrived and the boxes contained some of the newest technology in the world in terms of magic enhancement.

And their task was to bring all of this back. Or at the very least make it so neither side could use these weapons.

"Woah, these sure are high-tech. It looks like a CAD on steroids."

Titan held one of the CADs in her hand, checking the slick design before trying a spell through the CAD. She flicked a dial on the side of the CAD and once she clicked the trigger, a huge blast shot out, breaking a couple of the boxes and causing Angie to look over in her direction, "Please don't mess around with those, Titan..."

"Sorry about that..." She gently placed it down, slightly amazed at its power amplification abilities before getting to work and lifting the rest of the boxes up and towards the side of the warehouse.

Angie fired a concentrated beam of heat at the wall of the warehouse, melting a small hole which looked over the sea, "The boat's here, start placing all of the weapons on it."

The sounds of Tatsuya's battle outside began to shake the ground, causing all the boxes to rumble around before a loud explosion burst the roof off of the warehouse.
