This one was for English haha, it's based on the book I Am Not Esther and is in the P.O.V of Magdalene. Enjoy c:

You said you know me,

Inside and out.

You said you loved me,

Unconditionally.

But if you really knew me,

You wouldn't have gone and 'died'.

You wouldn't have gone against the Rule,

The Elders,

Our Church.

It seems like the whole world's against you,

You and your art.

You said you truly loved me,

But you didn't love me enough to stay,

To obey,

To be caged.

When I turned thirteen,

Our remaining brothers and sisters told me.

They told me what happened.

Why couldn't you have taken me with you?

If you had,

Esther wouldn't of been here in my life,

She wouldn't have even mattered to me.

I wouldn't have idolised her as my new big sis.

Mariam you selfish big bag of bones,

You should have taken me with you,

Freed me,

But you didn't.

You left me,

To fend for myself,

To stay caged and chained,

To my damned Church.

From Magdalene Pilgrim,

Sister of

Mariam Pilgrim.
