After not going to school for a week after the incident with Maggie, Gustav and the twins thought it best to try and cheer Georg up by bringing him to Lucas' party, which Bella begrudgingly agreed to help host since their mom was away.

As much as Bella was mad at Georg at first, she and the other girls had soon realised that, as much as he was an asshole for the actual argument, he'd never meant to physically hurt Maggie.

Bella walked over to the four boys when they entered the house, Gustav smiling widely as she approached.

"Hey, guys," she said, "Please don't mess up my house, I hate Lucas for doing this." The four laughed. "Drinks are in the kitchen, most people are hanging out down here, but you can go in the basement if you need some peace and quiet, and Lucas was weirdly enthusiastic about giving his room up if anyone needed to hook up. If you are gonna hook up, don't do it my room, because I will find you."

"Thanks for the rundown of the rules there, Bella, very strict," Tom said.

"I wouldn't say not wanting someone else's sex juices on her bed is strict," Gustav said.

Gustav and Bella walked outside whilst Georg and the twins headed to the kitchen for a drink. They sat on the chairs facing the garden.

"I'm gonna get a drink," Gustav said.

"Don't," Bella said, reaching down next to her into another cooler and pulling out a beer.

"Someone's prepared."

"It's my secret one, in case the millions of drinks we already got run out. Saves us going to the store."

"Work smarter not harder."

"Exactly."

"How's Maggie holding up?"

"Not great. I know you see her in school, and she's seems happy as hell, but she's non stop crying when she gets home. Bruises still haven't healed either. Georg?"

"A reck. It took us everything in our power to get him out tonight. I'm just hoping he doesn't run into Maggie."

"Me too. She's been hanging with Jake a lot tonight, god knows how Georg'll take that."

"Jake?"

"Well, him and Lucas. She's friends with Lucas, so my guess is she's just tolerating Jake for his sake."

"Mhm."

Iris walked over to Georg and the twins, sitting right next to Bill.

"Hey," he said. His arm was on the back of the couch already, and he very smoothly moved it to wrap around Iris' shoulders. "You okay?"

Iris leaned her head on Bill's shoulder. "I no longer believe in love. I thought they were made for each other."

"Shh. Georg's sat right there."

"My bad."

"Where's Maggie? Need to make sure Georg doesn't see her."

"She's everywhere. She hasn't sat down and rested the whole party. I think she got word that he's here, so she's doing her best to keep herself distracted."

"You think they're gonna get back together?"

"He really hurt her, Bill. Physically and emotionally."

"He didn't mean to."

"We all know that, but I don't think she does. If there's one thing I've learned, it's that she's not the most forgiving person. Still, I think she was starting to fall in love with him."

"Shit, really?"

"Mhm. But this has set her back. If I tell you something do you promise not to say anything?"

"Promise."

"The reason she broke up with David was because he hit her, just the once, and that was it."

"So you don't think she'll go back?"

"Well, David like, hit hit her, the way Allan hit me. Plus he was a dick all the time beforehand, not just the once. So I don't know I'm conflicted."

"Well, only will tell."

Gigi made her way over to Tom, who was stood in the kitchen getting drinks for him, Bill, Georg and Iris.

"You look nice," he told Gigi, "No heals today?"

"I decided I'd rather not be tall enough to look you in the eye," Gigi joked. Tom laughed slightly.

"Maggie and Georg, hey?"

"God, I know. So weird. Maybe it's strange to say this because they were only together for just over a month, but I really thought they were made for each other. Anyway enough about them, are you okay?"

"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?"

"You don't need to be cool, Tom, I know you've been struggling lately."

Tom smiled, rubbing Gigi's arm. "Well, I'll talk to you if I need to. Thanks, Gigi."

"You're welcome."
