One evening, when traveling to the village of Jelbjullr for work, a snowstorm set in. Eynræð continued on his path looking for somewhere to shelter from the storm. In the distance, he could make out the orange glow of a fire. Eynræð approached this firelight and discovered it was coming from a small cabin. Eynræð approaches the cabin and knocks three times. The door opens. "What is a weary traveler like yourself doing in such an ice storm?" Asks the man residing within the cabin. "I am Eynræð, a journeyman from the village of Treuverk. I was traveling to Jelbjullr for work as a skævjandmans apprentice when this storm set in" Eynræð explains. "May I stay in your longhouse until the storm passes?" asks Eynræð. "I will let you under my roof, and give you a seat by the fire guest from the north" says the cabin owner. Eynræð enters the cabin, its heavy wooden door shutting behind him.
