My father says I ask
Wayyy too many questions.
I can't help being curious.
Wanting to understand
Everything and anything.
Why is the sky blue?
How is hail made?
Who invented the toaster?
Simple questions
Because I want to learn.
When I was younger
These were the questions
I had pestered my father with,
But now I can't ask him.
I can't ask him the questions
That plague my mind.
How deep can I cut
Before hitting something important?
How much alcohol
Will kill me?
Which pills will do
The most damage?
I sit here, pondering.
And I guess
With wondering all of these questions
But never asking,
I guess I'll just test them out.
You'll know when I've
Gotten an answer.
No promises that I
Will be able to tell you though.
