My surroundings are improving, which is hard to believe.
I used to think that no one wanted to be around me,
and I questioned if I was a bad person.
But there are people out there who want me in their lives,
appreciate me,
and love me.
For the longest time, I was in denial.
Then they entered my life and taught me to let people into my life,
that friends can be like family, and that I'm not alone.
They've taught me so much.
Do I deserve all of this?
There will always be ups and downs in relationships with people, but they stay.
They stay.
I can't remember the last time people were willing to stick around after seeing my 'other side.'
I guess it takes time to find someone who will accept you for who you truly are.
