Fire crackles in the distance, ash littered the floor, and the cries of the Na'vi echoed, the noise soul-crushing. Nate panted hard, his body stung from the multiple cuts and scratches formed from all the flying debris. He stood beside Jake as they looked over all the destruction, the carnage.
Mo'at cried, her bold voice dripping with nothing but pain. Other Omatikaya followed suit, falling to the ground crying as they stared and covered their mouths. Nate felt his chest tighten, his heart throbbed while his hands fisted the branch under them. All this bloodshed, for what!?
'Ke'Ke!' Alarm bells suddenly went off in Nate's head, and his head snapped up, his wide eyes searching the grounds.
Ke'Kaya wandered over branches and roots, her eyes like waterfalls as she hugged herself, looking at lone hands and tails sticking out from under the tree trunk. Ke'Kaya whined a sob as she continued to walk slowly, her feet crunching leaves and her skin burning.
~𝑀𝑎𝑚𝑎... 𝐹𝑎𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟...~ She cried, looking around the floor with flooded eyes.
The young hunter kept calling out for her family as she walked, going to step over a log only to slip and fall forward, landing on her hands and knees.
~𝐻𝑆𝑆𝑆!~ She hissed, turning to fall and sit on her butt as she looked down at the long cut on her thigh, seeing the sharp twig that cut her.
~𝑈ℎ~ She whined, clenching her eyes shut before slowly raising to her feet again.
She sniffed, turning her head to survey the area as she held her injured limb. Blinking the tears from her eyes Ke'Kaya turned her head only to stop when her eyes landed on the limp figure of her Father.
~𝐹𝑎𝑡ℎ𝑒~ Ke'Kaya released her leg and ran over to her father, dropping to her knees beside him.
That's when she saw the large wood splinter through his torso.
~𝘍𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦...~ Ke'Kaya hovered her hands over her dad's still frame.
Ke'Kaya gently placed her hands on her father's back, softly shaking him before her eyes stung with tears once again, her throat going dry.
~𝐹𝐴𝑇𝐻𝐸𝑅! 𝐾𝑒'𝐾𝑎𝑦𝑎!~ Neytiri's voice rang through the air.
~𝘛𝘪𝘳𝘪 𝘏𝘦𝘭𝘱 𝘮𝘦!~ Ke'Kaya cried out, rocking on her knees as she shook her father.
~𝑇𝘪𝘳𝘪!~ She called and turned her head as she heard her sister run up, jumping over a log and running toward them.
~𝘛𝘪𝘳𝘪 𝑃𝑎𝑝𝑎𝑎𝑎,~ Ke'Kaya cried, her tears falling onto her thighs as she looked from her sister to her father.
~𝐴ℎℎℎℎℎ!~ Neytiri wailed, dropping to her knees beside her sister.
~𝘈𝘏𝘏𝘏𝘏𝘏 𝘍𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳, 𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶!~ She cried.
Eytukan groaned, opening his eyes and seeing his daughters.
~𝘈𝘩𝘩, 𝘮𝘺 𝘋𝘢𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴... 𝘕𝘦𝘺𝘵𝘪𝘳𝘪... 𝑡𝑎𝑘𝑒 𝑚𝑦 𝑏𝑜𝑤...~ Eytukan pulled all his strength to raise his bow to his eldest.
~𝑁𝑜...~ Neytiri cried.
~𝐹𝑎𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟...~ Ke'Kaya shifted forward, gripping her father's hand, her ears lowering.
