Y/N's P.O.V.:

11 years ago. . .
(Y/N is probably around 23 now, Neon is 21)

It was cold, so cold.

I sat on the snow, with nothing to keep me warm. It had been snowing for days, and I had no place to go to, no place to call home, nothing.

I shivered as people walked passed me on the sidewalk. No one noticed me, and if they did, they didn't care.

My stomach began to growl, signifying that I was hungry. Not that I didn't know that already. I pulled the half sandwich I managed to steal out of the only coat I had, and ate it slowly, trying to savor every last bite of it.

When I was finished, I didn't feel any less hungry, the snow was still just as cold. I began to cry a little.

I wanted them back, the memories of the day I lost them circled in my head like a curse. The burning house, the screams of my family inside, and stood helplessly outside, unable to help them.

I wiped my tears, because crying wouldn't bring them back. I had to focus on finding food, any kind of food.

I walked around the city, looking for something, anything, that I could take without being spotted.

I found myself in a small convenience store, and went in. I looked around the store, to see anything that I would like. My eyes settled on a candy bar, the rich chocolate taste and the image of it on the wrapping was making me crazy.

I looked around, making sure no one was around, and I quickly grabbed it, and shoved in my pocket. I was about to quickly leave the store, when a man stopped me.

"Gotcha you little runt", I was startled to see the man standing in front of my exit. He had probably seen me take the candy. I was scared, and backed away, but he grabbed me.

The next thing I new, I was face first in the snow, and my candy bar had been confiscated. I weakly brought myself up, and looked back into the store sadly, as I had just lost my chance at eating.

I walked back, to nowhere in particular. I had nowhere to go.

My feet began to drag behind me as I walked, and I was losing the feeling in my fingers. I was so tired, so hungry, and cold.

I fell into the snow, unable to walk any further. Had my sister been here, she would have come up to me and helped me. My father would have encouraged me to get up out of the snow, and keep going. My mom would have picked me up and held me. But they were gone, forever.

I had mindlessly wandered into some alley, where I would probably never be found, no one was there to help.

I looked back onwards in front of me, and to my surprise, I saw feet, walking my way, getting closer to me.

"Please. . .help me", I said weakly and quietly. I lost all the energy I had left, and my face fell back into the snow, my consciousness slipping away from me.

Time skip. . .

When I awoke, I was met with cold, and hard concrete. I pulled myself off the ground and looked around, I was in a room, and the light was dim, and flickering.

"Hello?", I called out, hoping someone would hear me. "Where am I?", I called out again. Nothing.

After a few minutes the door opened, and a woman with black hair and purple tips walked in. She looked scary, and I huddled up in the furthest possible corner from her.
