Bakugou couldn't have been less excited for this.

This job was supposed to go to his fiancé. She was the people person, the one who remained unbothered with stuff like this. Despite his practicing with her, he still had a tendency to come across as blunt and a bit intense, and this was Kirishima's girlfriend. He already fucked up their first impression monumentally.

This probably wasn't going to go much better.

She was waiting in his office still. How long had it been? Fifteen minutes, maybe twenty? Bakugou was prolonging his time in the lounge, still pissed off that this job fell to him. It wasn't about Red— She was probably a fine person to be around— It was him and his inability to converse like a normal fucking person. This was Tink and Kirishima's territory, not his. He much preferred his work out in the field.

He grabbed a couple of canned teas from the vending machine and sighed through his nose, mentally preparing himself. However this was going to go couldn't be as bad as his first impression, right? He swallowed the embarassment and made his way back to his office.

When he opened the door, she was sitting patiently at the chair in front of his desk.

Dynamight set one of the teas in front of her and rounded the desk, taking a seat and rummaging through one of his drawers for the paperwork Tink left him. It could barely be called paperwork; it was mostly just a checklist his fiancé made to make sure Red was okay.

"You have access to enough food and water?" He grunted, clicking his pen.

"What?"

"At Ei's place. He's not starving you?"

"Oh, of course not."

He checked the first box. "He accompanies you when you leave the premises?"

"Yes."

He checked the second box. "You have access to a phone and internet?"

"Mhm."

Another check. "Does he give you your own time and space?"

When Red didn't respond, he looked up at her with raised eyebrows.

"It's Kirishima," she said. "Of course he doesn't."

He pressed his lips into a thin line to stop the laugh from escaping his throat. Maybe she was a little funny.

He checked the box anyway. "You have appropriate sleeping arrangements?"

"Yes."

"Do you feel happy, healthy, and safe under his protection?"

"Since I took over the cooking, yes."

Kirishima was a hellish cook. Dammit, he had to hold back another laugh. He coughed to disguise it and threw the list in the garbage. "Good. Done. Any questions?"

"Yes. Why did we do that?"

"Tink wants to make sure you're good, so she made a checklist."

"Right. I suppose that interrogation was easier than the last one."

Bakugou clenched his jaw and looked away, embarassment heating his ears. "Look, I was—"

"I'm messing with you."

A little surprised, he looked back at her, but she was looking off to the side at the pictures framed on the wall.

"Actually, I have another question for you, Dynamight."

"Your match is coming up soon, Prince. Tell us, how are you feeling about the finals?"
