Nine years after Bangtan Sonyeondan renewed their idol contract in 2023, having gone back to group work after each member's solo debut and enlistment, the boys - now men in their 30s or older - decided to retire in order to live their lives with their new families.

× what came next?|| After Namjoon retired from his idol career, he decided to continue with his love of songwriting and became a professional writer for other idols or singers who wanted to work with him. He still makes thousands, if not millions, just by co-writing songs with other artists, so along with having set aside the riches he achieved with Bangtan and his own solo career, he makes plenty so his little family will be well off. He and OC ended up getting married after a year of retiring, and they had two children. Two boys - an eight year old boy named Minjoon, and a 3 year old boy named Dae-hyung.
