Background on the family:

The Beaumont family is a titled family of the ton and is highly regarded, akin to the Bridgerton family. Countess Beaumont and Viscountess Bridgerton were childhood friends who married at similar times and had children of similar ages, thus leading to a close friendship between the two families. Both of them married for love, and although Edmund has passed, Frederick remains close friends with Violet and her children, sometimes taking on fatherly responsibilities for them that Edmund can no longer do.
