To my very lovely Gramps.

I'm writing this to you right now after my very first mission. I'm currently resting after getting my ass kicked by that stupidly gigantic scary centipede demon and his best friend scorpion demon. Now, I'm going to tell you how that happened so I'm asking you to please sit down for the next words that you're about to read in this letter. And before you worry needlessly, I'm reminding you that I am alright since I am capable enough to write a letter to you.

Are you sitting? You better be, I just don't want you to break your back for overreacting. I know you Jii-chan, you always overreact to dangerous stuff that happens to me, so you better be seated right at this moment.

To put things simply... I got poisoned... errr... venomed? I don't know the right word. But yes, you get the picture, I got stung by the scorpion demon's stinger and paralyzed my whole body. But don't worry! I didn't get paralyzed mid battle, the complete paralysis happened when I'm already in one of the Fujisaki safe houses and was overseen by the Rin-sensei. Speaking of Rin-sensei, she says hi to you, she's actually with me right now and she says to tell Amai-obaa that she's glad she's still alive.

So yeah, I'm alright. So please don't have a heart attack or try to find me to bring me back home. I'm quickly recovering now thanks to everyone's help and I finally did it! I recovered Kaa-chan's and Nee-chan's eyes! I can finally put them to rest and I had a successful first mission all things considered. I'll maybe visit Kaa-chan's and Daiki-ojii once I've recovered enough, tell them all about you guys and all my adventures and how much I've grown up.

Anyways, this letter is getting too long, so I'll end it here. You better take care of yourself, old man.

P.S. I'm no longer pretending to be a man, a Hashira already discovered I am one and it's safe to say that no one will try to kidnap me anymore or something.

A familiar hiss has Obanai shoot up from his crouched position of looking under the raised floor of the current Headquarters, only to come face to face with a nervous blonde girl.

Who has his missing partner wrapped around her neck.

"Kaburamaru!"

He immediately dashed towards them, only to stop a few meters short to glare at the female before him, stopping himself from hissing just like his friend.

Obanai glared, and was about to start pointing at the girl when she suddenly bowed, twin braids flopping forward like dangling ropes.

"I-Iguro-senpai, good day and ni-nice to meet you! I fo-found your friend Kaburamaru-kun near my qua-quarters and he told me that he was lost so I brought him here! Ka-Kaburamaru-kun told me that you're uncomfortable with un-unknown women so I'm just gonna..." Then she crouched down, much to Obanai's confusion.

It took a while for Obanai to translate the stuttering and quickly worded mess that the girl spieled, and by the time her message got across, she was still patiently hunched down, letting Kaburamaru have an easy access to the ground to let him crawl towards him. Obanai quickly followed suit to welcome Kaburamaru back, his friend wrapping himself like a scarf once again.
