Chapter 7

"Are you ready? Cause I am fucking excited. " Kim said as he takes his seat on the couch.

"I am desperate, to be honest. But tell me one thing beforehand, why do you agree so quickly? " I said.

"I love going against the stream, the way they handle stuff, it's so casual that i don't really like it. " He said, grabbing the Apple from the fruit platter.

"And what will you gain from it? " I asked.

"You will see that soon. For now, ask me anything you want. "

"Tell me everything you know about my past. "

"So, I came to know about you through Porchay, and then it literally surprised me that you were a tenant at Vegas's house, like that dude doesn't need a tenant, so obviously it was a facade. "

"Facade? "

"Of course, he arranged it, through your best friend Porsche, and at that time, I swear no one wants to stay with him, he used to be, kinda sociopathic. "

"Wait, so you are telling me that I was fooled into living with a sociopath. "

"Exactly and you weren't different, you too, fell for him, head over heels. Like your dating rumours spread like fire, that's when I looked into it. "

"The whole college knew? "

"They did. But what's more troubling was  something else. When you went to the police with an video of Vegas killing someone, that was a big blow, I mean, you were hunted down for long, but luckily saved, at the cost of Vegas. "

"Video? And what costs Vegas? "

"He was sent on subsequent dangerous missions and in one, he was seriously injured. But he recovered and then, Kinn, along with you and others, started revolting against Kant. "

"Wait a minute, Kinn, and you, are Vegas's cousins? And your dad knows all of this? "

"Yeah, we are, but Kant is like the black sheep of our family, my dad left the work  decades ago. "

"What happened later? "

"You all did started your plan, which even led you to find Vegas's mom, and-"

"What next? " I asked, but he didn't said anything, as his gaze was fixated somewhere, I looked back and saw someone staring.

"I told you not to do that Kim. " Porchay, who was standing with his arms crossed in front of his chest, scolded Kim.

"But baby, I was just helping him. "

"If you are gonna do a bit of more help, I will tell Hia about it. " He said and made his way towards me, snatching my hand and taking me along with him to the room he just came from.

Looking from his state, he might have just woken up, although I was glad he was here, I won't be feeling alone, but that also means it's something pretty serious to hide us all in a such a place.

"You can sleep next to me Hia, it will be better for both of us. " He said.

"But what about me? " Kim, who followed us and whose head was just peeking at the door said with an apparent pout on his face.

"You can sleep in the adjacent bedroom. "

"But we can sleep together. " He said, and I could see the red blush creeping on Porchay's cheeks, but I cannot fathom how the dark genre suddenly changed into romance.

"Stop it, and go now, we are here to be with Pete, not to leave him alone. "

"I hate to admit it, but anyways, sweet dreams lil one. " He caressed Porchay's head and left, leaving him all embarrassed and shy in front of me.

"Look at you two being lovey dovey, and here is me, third wheeling you. " I said as Porchay hides his face.

"But Pete, promise me one thing, don't ask Kim about anything, if Hia comes to know he will be really mad. "

"Porchay, don't do this. "

"Please Hia, I also think whatever they are doing is for your own welfare. "

I sighed and then got myself changed, I had few scratches which Porchay applied ointment on. That night, I had a lot in my mind, but I was so tired that I didn't realised when I fell asleep.

The following days passed like that, me and the two love birds stuck in the hideaway, and I never really felt being the one in between but they made me feel more single than I could ever do.

And my patience was wearing off, as I didn't got a single call from the person I was waiting to meet. After everything Kim told me, it was getting more complex and the need to confront him was giving way to my intrusive thoughts.

But what confuses me more, that Vegas's mom was on his side, helping him get out of his father's dark matters, then why he was sentenced for her murder?

And accompany his dad? Like weren't they supposed to be against each other? This is literally so confusing and you know what's worse? That I know everything but the ending, like what happened that led us all here?

I am left to complete it with my own imagination which is depleting my patience more and more.

"Kim." I said as he was reading something.

"What is it? " He said and kept reading.

"I want you to drag Vegas here, or drop me where  he is. "

"You know very well that I am not allowed to. "

"Come on-. "

"But I am very much willing to leave, so he will come here himself. "

"How come? "

"You are enough for that. " He said and picked up his phone, as he calls Vegas and puts it on speaker

"What is it? " He asked as soon as he picks up the phone.

"Nothing important. " Kim said, equally disinterested.

"Then I am gonna hang up. " Vegas said.

"It's okay, Pete, I will handle him then. " Kim said.

"Pete? What about him? Is he okay? Is everything okay there? " His non chalant tone suddenly turned concerned, I don't know why, but I felt butterflies flattering in me.

"He hasn't come out of his room for more than three days, he isn't listening even, I don't know if he is okay or not, come and handle your man. " He said and cut the call.

"Why did you lied? I am doing fine. " I said, confused.

"It's the fastest way to get his ass  here. "

"Indeed smarter than what I thought. "

"I and Porchay will leave right away, cause he might even fly here for you. "

"But he says he never had a thing for me. "

"All men do is lie. " Porchay said from behind, and I smiled, as he too, was helping me.

"Hurry up Chay, we gotta do so many things baby. " Kim took Porchay along and I too, went to my room, waiting for him to come.

And within fifteen minutes, I heard the door opening, but I didn't went to check, as I was supposed to be in my room.

"Pete." I paused as I heard him call me, his voice, I would lie if I said I didn't missed it.

"Pete, open the door, please. " He said and banged his fists on my door.

Although I was told to wait and ask him to accept everything, but I was melted by the way he was here as soon as he came to know, I didn't wanna make him worried.

So I opened the door, and as I did, I was pulled by two buffy arms, as he hugs me, I was surprised but I hugged him back.

Note: For the first time, Kimchay together, I had written many stories but there mention like this is first. They look interesting though👀 ....
