You need not be the stars,
Nor the moon or even the sun,
As I willingly embrace you wholeheartedly.
You need not be almighty,
Nor gentle or the most eligible man,
As I gladly welcome you for who you are.
You are the risk I choose to take,
Though uncertainty is not my norm.
Don't hesitate to choose me,
Don't shy away from glimpsing our future,
Untangle all of your painful memories.
Hold my hand with certainty,
As we embark on a journey,
Nothing can sever our connection.
Believe in us,
In every shared moment,
Together, we will thrive and do better.
