"What are you doing in my living quarter?"

"Checker-face . . . You're so formal." Jax spoke, ignoring my question prior, I had inched closer to his stature, watching his ears twitch subtly,

"I still wonder why the mirrors are in my room. I'd never be so narcissistic to look myself in the eyes so much . . ." I spoke in thought, staring upon the glass mirrors,

"You're an acrobat. See that round thing-a-magik up in your ceiling? Yeah, that's it, sister. " I didn't fully understand his meaning . . . did he mean as an acrobatic I'd have to watch my own performance as I had procured it?

"Do not call me sister! How can I be an acrobatic, I don't have one piece of knowledge when it comes to being one!" Jax only hummed, his eyes bored as he listened to my complaint,

"Too bad, checker-face. The ringmaster's going to have us do an activity soon . . ." he said with his arms crossed against his chest, looking off to the side.

"Is that so? What are you still doing here, Jax?"

"You remember my name." he said in a cocky manner, leaning towards me, I had pushed him back delicately,

"Answer my question."

"I don't have to answer it." he said as he closed his eyes, turning on his heels as he began to walk outside the door of my living quarter. I had scoffed, regaining my posture as I had tugged the little strands of my hair.

What an impolite bastard.

"Y/N!" A voice had inquired my thoughts, my head shifted to turn to the sound's origin,

"Oh, Pomni. What are you doing here?" she had seemed very timid, but not as much as Gangle seemed to be. Pomni walked hesitantly inside, her face becoming more confused as she saw the mass of mirrors surrounding her and I,

"Don't ask . . . I don't really know either."

"Right, well, uhm . . . Since you're a fully new-newcomer . . . I had thought it best for you to hear this from me, you should keep yourself sane." I blinked, watching her eyes with intent as she spoke cautiously. She seemed a bit disoriented on the subject she had brought up,

"What do you mean, Pomni?"

"Here in the digital world, our world, keeping yourself sane has to be your first initiative. If or when you go insane . . . and trust me, there are many ways you could have a mental break here . . . you could get, uh, abstracted." Pomni informed, her hands making little motions as she spoke to emphasize her point, I had nodded,

"Yes. Okay. What do you mean by abstracted?" I spoke in question,

"Abstracted. Your body will turn into a mass of glitching matter with hoards of staring eyes!" a new voice had startled my posture from behind me, causing me to tumble a little before the arms of behind had reached to hold me still.

I had looked down, seeing the puffy yellow gloves greet me with a tease. I had groaned,

"Jax! How in the &/#* did you get in here?" I had covered my mouth in a slight shock, what was that . . . ?

I could've sworn that I had said a curse just then and there . . . My eyes went wide as I watched the faces of my peers, Pomni had a knowing look painted on her soft features as Jax had grinned in mischief.

"Oh, checker-face. Great thing about this place, you can't curse me out!"

"Oh, la-dee-da. What are you doing here." I spoke with no effort, my limbs having fell limply beside me, Jax had rolled his eyes.

". . . Anyway. Try and keep sane, Y/N! We definitely do not want to lose you . . . !" Pomni had said with an attempt of cheer, I had smiled politely,

"Thank you, Pomni. I appreciate your  kindness to inform me of the danger . . . " Pomni had nodded nervously, turning her body to leave, Jax had rested his elbow upon my head, a toothpick in his hand as he had wiggled it between his yellow teeth,

"Oh? And when are you leaving?"

"Eh, can-it, won't you." he expressed, pushing his toothpick through the lose stands of my hair. He had chuckled, walking away in a casual manner with his hands embedded inside his pockets,

"Oh, you . . . You obtuse bunny-rabbit! Outrageous!" I yelled fuming, my body had felt uneasy and unsteady, my face felt as warm as a stove and my hands had been balled into tight fists.

I had picked the toothpick from my hair, throwing it with an unbridled rage as my foot had repeatedly stomped upon it. Then I had stood still, my shoulders slumped as the face of myself had haunted the mirror-wall  before me.

How sickening you look . . . You look awful. Just terrible. Don't you think?

After a few minutes of staring into the empty mirror, I had lifted my finger to press it against the glass, my fingertip had reflected, indicating to me that there had been nothing behind these mirrors. Only a dark wall. I had turned to make my leave, glancing upwards to see the thick ribbons sprawled up from the ceiling to a spiralling-downwards cascade.

As my foot had stepped from out my living quarter, I had been pulled much like before with Caine into the area where I had first arrived.

There our ringmaster had stood with his cane in hand, swinging it wildly as he had looked energized and ready . . .
