today the girls decided to sleep in lilys room instead of downstairs.

it's around 2 am and i just came downstairs to get a glass of water. the kitchen light was on so i thought the girls had come downstairs for a midnight snack.

i went in and saw daisy sat at the dining table with her head in her hands.

"you alright dais" i asked.
"mhm" she nodded.

"you sure" i asked. she looked at me and shook her head. she had tears in her eyes and her lip was trembling.

"hey what's going on" i said, sitting next to her and putting my arm around her.

"a lot" she said. she put her head on my shoulder and cried.

"you want to tell me?" i asked.

"uhm. my cousin passed away. the one who had a heart attack. to be honest we weren't even close but it still hurts. and i'm really confused with myself. i keep questioning my sexuality and i just don't know i guess it's just getting me really worked up" she said.

"i'm sorry about your cousin love" i said.
"the sexuality thing will work out eventually. you'll find out soon, i guess if it's right you'll just know"

"but how. like how long will it take. and how will i just know" she said.

"umm, it could be tomorrow, it could be in years. i guess you just have to try different things. and that's not me telling you to go round hooking up with loads of people and sleeping around." i said. "take your time. and things will line up"

"how will i know though" she asked.

"i can't explain it but you just will. trust me" i said.

we spoke for a while about her sexuality and how i figured out mine.

"it's late dais. go to bed" i said. we went upstairs and she stopped outside lilys room.

"thank you sophia" she said hugging me.
"it's alright daisy. i'm always here to talk" i said.

"goodnight" i said. i gave her a tiny kiss on her cheek and she turned bright red.

"i know it's not a proper kiss but i'll take it" she said. i laughed and shook my head and then went to my room.

i slid in with leah and she wrapped her arms around me pulling me into her.

the next morning we woke up and the girls were already awake making breakfast, apart from daisy.

i went up to lilys room and saw daisy just waking up.

"you okay dais" i asked.
"yeah" she said and sat up.

"i understand if you don't feel like you can come to the match today" i said.

"what and miss my chance of watching you and leah running around getting all sweaty. i'm coming" she joked.

"glad to see you're still the same" i laughed. "seriously though you need someone"

"can i get a good morning kiss" she tried.
"don't push your luck" i laughed and got up.

we went downstairs and ate breakfast.

the girls all wore arsenal kits and we went in two cars since there's 6 of us. we arrived at the stadium and dropped the kids off in the family box where they're meeting leah's mum.

we went back to the changing rooms and then put to warm up. we saw the kids and amanda in the stands.

we started the game and it was going very well.

as we stood cheering the girls on, a girl in the crowd caught my eye. i saw her looking at me and when she saw me looking she looked away.

a while later i saw her looking at me again. i looked at her and smiled.

she's very pretty. she's with a guy and a girl who look like they're dating.

at halftime, amanda took mia to the toilet and lauryn and lily went to go get drinks. i said i would stay here.

"hey, by any chance could i get your number?" the girl came over to me and asked.

"i uhh. umm" i started stuttering. oh my god. why now. of all the moments in the world to get shy and nervous why now. when a beautiful girl is asking for my number. i went to my pocket to get my phone.

"is that a yeah or.." she said.

shit daisy. don't scare her off with your weirdness.

"let me help you there love" lily said. she got my phone out of my pocket for me and gave the girl my number and the girl put her number in my phone.

omg lily my saviour.

"thanks. i'll text you" she said with a wink and walked off.

i stood there in complete shock. what has just happened.

"what happened to you there mate" lauryn teased, shoving me gently with her shoulder.

"shush" i said embarrassedly. i looked at my phone and saw her number. her name is isabella.
what a beautiful name for a beautiful girl.

"oohh daisys in love" lily teased, wiggling her eyebrows at me.

"shut up" i said. "i'm not"

"that's clearly why you've gone all red. and why you got all nervous and stuttery when she was speaking to you" she carried on teasing.

i stuck my middle finger at lily.

"hey mummy said that was swearing. you can't do that" mia appeared. oops.

"sorry mia. won't happen again" i said.

we watched the second half of the match and then when it was over, the girls shook hands with the opposition and then did a lap of the pitch.

they finally got to us and came over the barrier.

"mummy you scored 2 amazing goals" mia said. to sophia.

the girls went to the toilet and leah went to the changing rooms. i sat with daisy and she told me something that shocked me.

"i got a girls number" she said.

"no way really?" i said.

"yeah, she's over there" she said pointing to isabella who started squealing when i looked at her.

"she's cute" i said.

"i know" she smiled.

leah came back and stood with me.

"daisy got a girlfriend" i spilled to leah.

"go on love" leah said causing daisy to go red again.

"not my girlfriend... well not yet" she said.

i went over to the girl and gave her my shirt, thanking her for coming to the game.

i got back to leah who put a coat around me, zipping it up and holding me against her body.

"alright i get it leah" daisy joked.
leah laughed and shook her head.

"not like i haven't seen it all anyway" she said.

"oh shit too far" she laughed holding her hands up defensively.

"let's go" i laughed and gave daisy a gentle shove.

she gave a wave to the girl and we walked away.

we got back into our separate cars and drove home.
