"No. No. Absolutely not. Are you crazy? I said, one mission. That was that. I was going home. When that didn't happen, you all agreed to leave me the hell alone. But I have been on missions since. And I'm saying no to this one. I don't feel like it and you can't force me."

Althea leans against the counter, folding her arms over her chest as she looks at Coulson. "Althea, you don't understand. We need your help facing this threat. We need the advantage you provide us with." Coulson says and she narrows her eyes.

"You have an arsenal of highly skilled, lethal assassins at your beck and call. Why won't you just leave me the hell alone? What advantage am I going to give you?" Althea asks.

"The threat is from Asgard." Coulson says and she frowns.

"Thor's back?"

She hadn't found out about Thor coming to Earth until months after he left. She'd been on a mission with Natasha at the time and Clint had caught them up on his latest mission the second they got back.

"No. Someone else." He says and she sighs.

"Did they give you a name or would you like me to start listing the entire population of Asgard?" She asks. "As of twenty years ago. Because, you know,"

"He said his name was Loki." Coulson says and the redhead's arms drop to her sides as she pauses slightly. "What? You know him?" He asks and she sighs.

"Yeah, you could say that?" Althea responds, glancing down as she messes with the ring sitting around her finger.

"That's the guy you're married to?" Coulson asks, glancing at her hand.

"Well, I'm married to Loki. But I don't know why the Loki I know would come here." Althea says.

"Well, he looked a little crazy. Had this sceptre, was raving about some 'glorious purpose'. And then he took the Tesseract." Coulson says.

"No. No, okay? You must have heard wrong. Or- I don't know. I don't know what happened. Okay? You just must be wrong? Because Loki wouldn't- If he could come here himself, it wouldn't have taken him this long. Not when I didn't go home." Althea says.

"Maybe he's not as great as you think he is." Coulson retorts and she clenches her jaw, looking down. "I don't mean any offence, Thea, but, It's been twenty years." He says.

"Twenty years is nothing in an Asgardian's lifespan. Okay? But it's still enough time that he'd come for me if he could. So, I don't believe you. You're wrong. You have to be." She says.

"Regardless whether we're right or wrong, Thea. There is still an Asgardian on Earth who's a threat to everyone." Coulson says.

"Fine. Fine, I'll come with you. But only to prove you're wrong." Althea says. "I'll go grab my stuff."

Althea follows Coulson into the car outside her building, glancing at him. "So, who exactly are you bringing in for this?" She asks.

"Well, I meant to tell you before you agreed but Barton's been compromised." Coulson says and she looks at him incredulously.
