She walks out the door, rushing down the hall and bumping into Tony. "Where the hell were you?" Tony asks.
"Talking to Loki. What happened?" Althea asks.
"If I had to take one guess? Him." Tony retorts.
"Someone's gotta get outside and patch that engine." Maria says over comms as Althea puts hers in.
"Stark, you copy that?" Fury asks.
"I'm on it." He responds as Althea follows him and Steve down the hall. "Engine three. I'll meet you there." Tony says to the two of them as they reach where he was storing his suit.
Althea runs down the hall just ahead of Steve, leading him to engine three, both of them grabbing the door handle to wrench it open, Althea helping the SHIELD agents into the Helicarrier before following Steve out onto the platform. "Well, shit. That doesn't look good." Althea says.
"Stark!" Steve calls, grabbing onto the ladder as he stands at the edge of the platform. "Stark, we're here!" Steve calls.
"Good. Let's see what we've got." Tony responds as he stops in front of them.
"I got to get this superconducting coolant system back online before I can access the rotors, work on dislodging the debris." Tony says and Althea just shrugs at Steve when he looks over at her before they both look at Tony when he points a them. "I need you two to get to that control panel and tell me which relays are in overload position." Tony says to them.
"Can you get up there?" Steve asks.
"Yes. Can you?" Althea retorts and he rolls his eyes before jumping up to grab onto the metal beam above them, swinging up onto the platform and Althea nods a little before forming two discs of ice and Steve looks over at her. "If you'd have waited two seconds you could have walked." She says with a shrug as she drags out the control panel.
"What does it look like in there?" Tony asks and Althea tilts her head slightly with a frown as Steve looks at it.
"It seems to run on some form of electricity." Steve responds and Althea inclines her head.
"Well, you're not wrong." Tony responds. "Frostbite, can you help me out here?" Tony asks and she sighs, standing next to Steve.
"Well, I miss the simplicity of Asgard but I'm pretty sure the relays are intact." She says, glancing at Steve. "Do they look intact to you?" She asks, pointing at what she was pretty sure were the relays.
"Yeah." Steve says.
"Okay, Steve thinks that what I think are the relays are intact so, yes." Althea says.
"Frostbite, you made that very hard work." Tony says.
"What's our next move?" Steve asks.
"Even if I clear the rotors, this thing won't re-engage without a jump." Tony says. "I'm going to have to get in there and push." Tony says and Steve and Althea glance at each other with a frown.
"Well, if that thing gets up to speed, you'll get shredded." Steve says.
"That stator control unit can reverse the polarity long enough to disengage maglev and that could-"
"Speak English!" Steve cuts in and Althea snorts.
"I think he's trying to say something can slow down the rotor for him to get out before he's shredded." Althea says.
"Yeah, see that red lever?" Tony asks and the two of them turn around, spotting the red lever opposite them. "It will slow the rotor down long enough for me to get out. Stand by it. Wait for my word." Tony says and Althea nods.
"Can you do the ice thing?" Steve asks and she nods, making a path across to the platform beside the red lever.
"Don't slip. You'll fall and die." Althea says.
"Starting to think I should have jumped." Steve mutters as he carefully walks across the path, closely followed by Althea.
"Okay, so we just stand here and wait. Shouldn't be too hard." Althea says.
"Really wish you hadn't just said that." Steve says and she frowns before turning around to see two masked agents walk out into the platform.
"Oops." Althea says before one of them throws a grenade and Steve jumps across to deflect it before swinging down and kicking him. "Oh, we're doing this now. Okay." Althea says, jumping over the railing before kicking one of them back, summoning a dagger into her hand with magic before stabbing it through the front of his mask as Steve kicks the other one off the platform.
She holds up the guy in front of her as a shield as another two appear shooting at them. "You get back up there and wait by the lever." Althea says.
"Are you sure?" Steve asks.
"Just do it!" She responds, summoning another dagger and throwing it at the soldier in the doorway just as he shifts around the corner.
Althea slams her fist into the face of the soldier that attacks her, shattering the front of his helmet before slamming his head into the wall beside her, grabbing the gun of the other one, pushing it up as he aims at Steve, glancing over her shoulder. "Steve, what the hell are you doing?" She calls when she sees him gripping a broken wire.
"Trying not to fall and die!" Steve responds.
"Well get back up to the lever." Althea snaps, kicking the other agent in the stomach as she summons another dagger, stabbing the other one. Before grabbing the other one, snapping his neck as she throws him off the edge too.
"Guys, hit the lever!" Tony says.
"I need a minute here!" Steve says as the soldier on the ground, knocks her feet from under her.
"Motherfucker." Althea grunts, kicking him back.
"Lever, now!" Tony shouts as she sees Steve drag himself back onto the ship, dragging down the soldier that shoots at Steve. "Uh oh." She hears Tony mutter.
"Steve!" Althea calls as she pulls the dagger out of his stomach, slitting his throat before tossing him off the ship.
"Help!" Tony says and Althea looks up to see Steve pull the lever down.
"Tony?" Althea asks before he flies past her, knocking down another soldier behind her and the redhead huffs, dropping to sit against the wall. "Man, I'm fucked." She says.
"You're fucked?" Tony exclaims incredulously.
"Yes, I'm fucked." Althea responds.
"I nearly died!" He argues.
"And I just killed like four guys alone while Steve just dangled off the edge of the ship." Althea says.
"I fell!" Steve interjects.
"Regardless, didn't see you doing much." Althea retorts.
"You do know this is your husband's fault." Tony says.
"I'm not his keeper, Tony. I haven't seen him in twenty years. I can't control what he does. Believe me, I wish I could." Althea argues, dropping down to lie on the floor.
"Still, your husband." Tony remarks.
"Oh, real mature." Althea responds dryly.
