Plot: Y/N thinks Noah is cheating on her. Then she seeks solace with Mal. But turns out, Noah did not cheat on Y/N and it was all a setup by Heather and Alejandro. Y/N has to choose if she still loves Noah or if she wants to explore her newfound connection with Mal.
Why was this rejected?
• It doesn't make sense at all why Y/N would find solace in Mal of all people. Mal is so manipulative, he would most likely use her vulnerability for personal gain.
I know that in fanfics, we always portray him as protective and caring towards his love interest, but in canon, he's vile. He's not a good love interest tbh.
• I feel like it'd make more sense if it was a setup by Mal himself rather than Heather or Alejandro, since Mal was Y/N's new love interest here.
• A love triangle between Noah and Mal doesn't make sense at all.
Overall, at first I thought this would be interesting but it ended up being off balance and weird.
