The town exists somewhere in North America (Not specified). Surrounded by a large forest that stretches on for miles. Mountains not too far off.It is a small some-what run down town that's more rural than industrial.
It is usually cold (even in spring and summer).
They get a lot of rain,fog, and sometimes even snow. There is a large lake nearby with a waterfall. Attached to many rivers and streams. The landscape is rather beautiful on sunny days. There are other waterfalls and rivers that people like to visit.
Many miles from the town there's a swamp where Billy and Joe claim to have seen a swamp/skunk ape.
Old folks of the town (like Clay) tell legends and stories of their run-ins with the Wendigo. At times called "crazy" or "weird" by younger generations.
