As the sun began to rise, Lily'kit slowly opened her eyes and stretched her tiny paws. She could hear the sound of her mother's voice and recognized it as Willow'heart's. She focused her ears to listen more closely and heard her mother talking to Ginger'claw. They were discussing the well-being of a fellow clan mate, Honey'kit, and Ginger'claw assured Willow'heart that everything was fine.

Lily'kit was curious and wanted to know more. She asked when some of the other clan members, Willow'foot and Heather'star, would be returning. However, Ginger'claw didn't have an answer and quickly left to meet her mate, Jay'song, who was waiting for her.

Lily'kit's tummy rumbled, and she realized she was hungry. She looked up at her mother and asked, " Mama, can I have some food? I'm hungry!". Willow'heart turned to Dark'paw, who had just returned from a training session and asked him to fetch some fresh prey for Lily'kit, Paw, and Breeze'kit. Dark'paw nodded and quickly ran off towards the fresh-kill pile, which was overflowing with a variety of prey.

Lily'kit then turned to her mother and asked why they had left Duskclan and Dawnclan. Willow'heart explained, " One day, Day'star received a prophecy that warned of a battle between Dusk and Dawn, which would cause the day to fall into darkness. To prevent this from happening, Day'star decided to leave and form Dayclan, where they could live in peace and harmony"

Lily'kit listened intently, taking in every word. She nodded, understanding the reason behind their move. She then scampered off to find Breeze'kit and Flower'kit, who were also in the nursery, probably still sleeping.
