Helloooo~ everybody and welcome to book 2 in my Aryia x OC Rhymes and Rhythms series!!
I'm so sorry it's been so long since I finished posting book 1 but I'm finally posting the next part of Aryia and Evra's story and hope you all enjoy :3
This book is a continuation of book 1 and focuses a lot on family fluff and Levi's first five years of life. I'll be updating hopefully twice or three times per week so I hope you look forward to the new book :3
WARNINGS: Language, References to Post-Natal Depression, Panic Attack symptoms, Crying baby
Chapter song: TearsOnPages - Aryia
PLEASE NOTE: In this chapter I included some Farsi as Aryia and Evra take Levi to his parent's house. I am not fluent in Farsi, so if I made any mistakes, please let me know so that I can correct them as soon as possible. Other than this, I hope you enjoy the first part of Rhymes 2 😊

My sea blue eyes opened to a serene green meadow surrounded by a forest of trees in every direction.
We were sitting in the middle of the clearing. The three of us on a picnic mat. Or rather, I was sat down and gently combing my hands through the thick curls of Aryia's hair while he laid down with his head in my lap, eyes closed as our son ran around the picnic blanket with his toys, making airplane noises as he played around us, his wolf plush sitting by the sausage rolls and sandwiches laid out on the blanket.
This felt like living. We were just together, happy and content as we should be.
We hadn't known our baby boy for too long yet, but it felt like we'd already spent a lifetime with him. And sure enough, that's what we were about to do.
Despite Levi being so young, it didn't change the way that Aryia and I felt about each other. We were still as in love with each other as we had always been - we were possibly more in love now than before Levi had joined our lives.
Aryia had told me once that he loved me more each and every day - which I knew was true; I could see it in his eyes and the way he did everything. He was exactly what I needed in a partner. He was caring, compassionate, ambitious, talented, supportive, kind and so much more. We were exactly what the other needed in a partner and it just made us love each other so much more than we already did. And despite being new to the whole parenting thing, I knew we could get it down right as long as we were together and supporting each other as we always were.
"Momma."
"Momma?"
"Momma!"
"Momma?!"
"MOMMA!"
My eyes immediately darted over to where our son was playing, and as they did, they focused onto something dark and lightless.
...
I blinked. Once. Twice. Three times; allowing my senses to adjust. What I was looking at wasn't Levi playing in a field or my hands combing their way through my boyfriend's hair but the dark of our white bedroom ceiling. And what I was hearing wasn't Levi's voice, but rather, the most painful sounds for my ears right now.
It had only been three and a half weeks since Levi had been born, but it didn't mean I was used to the sound of his cries, even if they were coming from the baby monitor sitting on our TV cabinet at the foot of our bed. It was still the worst sound I'd ever heard. And other than my peeves of hearing the sounds of vomiting – which made me want to puke as well; the sounds of my violin students playing a poorly-tuned instrument or the even more painful sound of nails on glass, it was I safe to say that this sound topped the list as my least favorites – even going above and beyond the skin-crawling sound of a wasp's wings buzzing.
