Hey guys, got another chapter update for ya and here it is, the beautiful Rhyme number 8 :3

This is a bit like a crack one-shot but I really enjoyed writing it and I think you'll be able to see why when you read it 🤭🤭🤭

I managed to write a part this week but it feels a bit weak so I might edit it later on or after I've posted but when I do, I'll let you guys know 😊 Updates are still coming every Wednesday and I hope you continue to look forward to future parts of the book (it's kinda hard to write the next few bits because it's literally happening right now lolol but I have a plan written out for the chapters and will edit or rearrange them as and when I need to so that it's more appealing of a read rather than just one-shots like my first Aryia book). I also have big plans for book 3 and I'm really excited to share it with you, but for now I'll focus on getting Rhymes 2 written for you all to enjoy. And speaking of, I hope you like this chapter 😊😊😊

Chapter Song: Deep in the Meadow - Maiah Wayne

Summary: Evra gets a last-minute reminder that she has to go to work so Kévin offers to babysit Levi while Colby is visiting

(Mainly Kévin and Evie's POV. This is one of three POV switch chapters exclusively available to this series in this book and is told from the perspective of Evra and Kévin's description of the evening in Evra's words after he described it to her)

Kévin sat cross-legged on the sofa in the EEAK house, smiling as he watched my ten-month-old son sprawled out on his belly, fervently coloring in a coloring book. Due to his young age, Levi still hadn't quite grasped the concept of staying in the lines yet, but any time he grabbed the book and held it up for his godfather to see, Kévin made a point to act as if it was the greatest piece of art the world had ever seen. Levi would giggle excitedly and then resume working with enthusiasm.

"I can't believe he's almost a year old already." He sighed. "Next thing you know, we'll all be old and..."

"Hey, squirt, throw some blue in there!" Colby called to your baby with a small smirk.

He was stretched out on the other side of the couch with one leg over the cushions and his hands behind his head, watching my baby boy in amusement since he and Sam were visiting LA for the run-up to Christmas after their move to Vegas.

Levi blinked up at my friend, glanced down at his crayons and stared thoughtfully at them before grabbing the blue one and holding it up to my friend.

"Yeah. That's the one!" He confirmed, and Levi grinned before scribbling madly all over the drawing of the puppy he was currently filling in.

"Ugh, I can't believe this!" I cried from the kitchen.

Kévin and Colby both turned as I walked into the room disgruntled. "Sorry guys, but I just checked my calendar and I gotta be at a client's house in fifteen minutes. You don't mind waiting here until I get back, do you?"

"Nope. Means I can catch a nap." Colby mused, promptly rolling onto his side to face the couch cushion.

Kévin narrowed his eyes slightly as I walked across the room and leaned down to pick Levi up.

"C'mon, you're going for naptime while Mommy's out." She sighed, lifting my baby boy into my arms and squatting down to begin cleaning up his coloring space.

"Evra, you don't have to put him down for a nap. Colby and I can watch him." Kévin offered. He was being polite, but part of me felt like he was hoping I'd agree so that he could spend more time with his godson. Even though Levi was already ten months old, Kévin had never officially babysat his nephew for more than 15 minutes. At Kévin's offer, Colby made a choking sound and abruptly sat up with wide eyes.
