It's Wednesday, and you know what that means... RHYME 16 is officially here :3

I managed to finish the next chapter this week (really slow Ik, I'm sorry) but hopefully I'll have written the next one by the time it's due for posting cuz then I can post for 6 weeks or so and not worry about the rest of the book too much lolol 😅

This one's also a bit of a repeat of one of the imagines I posted a few years ago but I added some extra content so that even if you're re-reading this one, you shouldn't get too bored cuz I added some extra stuff for Evie and her family/ backstory 😅 :3

I hope you guys all enjoy :3

Chapter Song: Home is for the Heartless - Aryia

-

In the span of the next five months, Aryia and I had been working hard on music and keeping Levi entertained as he did the same with us and how many new words he was learning. Between April and July, he was learning around two new words every month, and was able to wish Aryia a happy birthday on July 9th when we'd all gone out for lunch at Inn of the Seventh Ray.

It had been a sweet surprise to hear Levi say "Hap birbay, Papi", but it was definitely one of the highlights of the year so far. I just wish that I'd managed to get it on camera along with the photos I'd taken of my birthday boy, but it was a nice memory.

Between Aryia's anniversary and birthday, we'd taken Levi to go strawberry picking in the middle of Underwood family farms – somewhere we planned to revisit when he turned two since he loved all of the goats and farm animals there – and even though he couldn't walk yet, he still had fun eating my favorite fruits throughout the day. We'd also been on several dinner dates, attended an afternoon tea at The Peninsula Beverly Hills, had a party at Aryia's parents' house with some of his family, and visited my family when they'd been staying in their villa at Carmel-by-the-Sea alongside Nick, Chanel and Gabby who were also there.

It was nice to reminisce on days where my siblings and I used to feed the chipmunks on the rocks at the beach, but we'd decided not to stay in the cabin with my parents and siblings due to the lack of room and instead we'd ventured a few miles away to stay in an RV next to a small farm with a hot tub.

Levi was obviously too young to be in the hot tub, but we'd set him up comfortably in the shade the day after we'd been at the beach, something I definitely needed after Chanel and Nick bought us a plate of six burgundy snails for $22 and three thin slices of baguette drizzled with garlic butter. I'd pulled a face after hearing what my sister-in-law was ordering – especially considering the price – and had resultantly been dared to eat one of the escargot, which had resulted in me pulling another face after swallowing the rubbery consistency. I'd almost thrown up at the table – thank god for my glass of water being there – but managed to hold it in until we got to the beach house after lunch where I'd thrown up in Ava's bathroom, apologizing to her after I'd cleaned up.

Part of me had also had a bit of a pregnancy scare at the same time, so as soon as we got to the RV, I'd taken a test to confirm or deny the suspicions. And although I wanted another child with Aryia, I was glad that the test had come back negative, since right now I wanted to focus on raising Levi and living my life with him and Aryia before he became an older sibling. I also felt that if we had another baby so soon after having Levi while we were still in our twenties, my dad would probably want to kill us – not that he should have dictated what we did with our lives, but he and Aryia were getting along a lot better now compared to our family pregnancy reveal party in 2022, and I didn't want their relationship to turn south again.

After all the traveling we'd done in the past few months, Aryia and I expected to stay at home and relax for a few weeks when we received a call from Nick in Massachusetts who had an idea for a few new songs. Aryia also had a few ideas for new music to make with our drummer and manager so after we discussed the trip a bit more, I decided to stay at home with Levi while the rest of the band made music together so that we could be surprised when they finished with the new tracks.
