Hey guys, Happy Wednesday!
I took a quick break to write a few of the next parts of this book but I'm back to my regular posting schedule, and if you check my conversations tab you'll know I'll be writing more on my vacation again this year to hopefully update every day in a couple of weeks and finish book 2 before the end of the year (when I'll be spell-checking everything to make sure that it's perfect before I start writing book 3 of the trilogy :3).
This chapter continues from the end of the last one and I've mentioned the stuff that happened between the two as well, but I hope you enjoy it :3

Following Katia's wedding in Fresno, Aryia and I had stayed with my parents for Thanksgiving. Since neither myself nor my parents liked turkey, I'd ended up cooking a roast dinner for all of us to enjoy around the table. Nick, Chanel and Gabby had joined us with my other siblings Maxwell and Avery, and it had been the first time that my family had all been together in a while.
We cracked jokes around the table, with Chanel saying that she thought I was going to roast a donkey while my mom and dad were at work, making me snigger as I roasted the beef joint in the oven and she got to work with her roast potatoes and the vegetables that Avery had supplied, Max bringing wine and my older brother bringing dessert. Avery somehow managed to weed herself out of washing up when she insisted on playing with her niece and nephew, but Aryia told me to let her and helped to wash everything up while I wiped everything clean and handed Max the newly-clean eating utensils to put away. Overall, we had everything tidy in less than 10 minutes – thanks to my mom and dad for not owning a dishwasher to do the job for us – but made our way to the living room of my childhood home after we'd cleaned to hang out with the rest of my family.
The week away from the hustle and bustle of LA had been chilled out and it was nice to see my family and so many familiar faces in my hometown again, but it was also nice to get back home.
The car ride home had been a bit annoying though. Ava was supposed to fly back to LAX to get back to college following her weekend away, but her flight had ended up getting cancelled because of some issue or another. But because we were headed to the same city, I offered to drive her back to her university campus, and by doing so had ended up listening to more Taylor Swift than I usually did when Kévin was in the house. I didn't mind the music though, but I could tell that Levi did. He liked to nap in the car whenever he felt travel sick and was struggling to do so whenever Avery asked me to turn up the track because it was approaching her favorite parts, and I'd been somewhat glad that Levi had thrown up before we reached roadside services just to get away from my younger sister's impression of a drowning cat. Musical talent definitely did not run in my family.
After dropping Avery off at her campus dorm, we went straight home – Levi needing a nap and Aryia and I wanting to get to work on new music to take our minds off my little sister's singing in the car; only to be met with a moving van parked outside the house directly across the street from us.
"That's weird, I thought that that house was still for sale when we left." I said quietly to Aryia as I reversed into our driveway next to his car since Levi had started to sleep now.
"Guess the new neighbors were desperate to move in." Aryia shrugged before we got out of the car, helping Levi out of his seat and carrying him inside while I opened the trunk to bring our bags in, noticing that my sister's suitcase was mixed in with our luggage.
"Ary, Avery left her bag in the car, I'm gonna do a quick double-back to UCLA and give it back to her."
"Okay." He agreed, coming out of Levi's room and closing the door behind himself so that our three-year-old could sleep in some peace and quiet following the journey home. "I'll bring the rest of our stuff in, you can take my car if you want." He told me, kissing me on the cheek as we swapped our keys.
