Happy Saturday guys :)

I didn't manage to write anything since finishing rhyme 7 but that doesn't mean I'll stop posting :3 This chapter features Aryia and Evie's 27th birthdays (as in Aryia's birthday last year). Hopefully I'll have another part written next week cuz the book's starting to catch up with me and I don't wanna only post once a week lolol but I hope you enjoy :)

Chapter Song: Theme From New York, New York - Frank Sinatra

-

Following Kévin's 30th birthday where we'd partied all night while singing karaoke with our friends, Aryia and I decided to relax for the day with Levi. We dropped our baby off with Aryia's parents for the night – since it was better than taking him to a party with all of us singing until 4am. Aryia and I did a couple of solos, me performing a couple of Taylor Swift songs – since Kévin was a huge Swifty – and Aryia performing the Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO before we both collaborated and sang A Thousand Miles, Senorita and Bring Me to Life together as duets, all which had been really fun.

But it was nice to have a chill-out day with my two boys which mainly consisted of sleeping, eating, and more sleeping.

We'd all woken up from an afternoon nap at 4pm and when we did, it was boiling in our bedroom, so much so that I ended up having to open the window and leave the curtains half-shut for it to be the right temperature. Considering this was Levi's first summer, I didn't know how he would react to the blistering temperatures and wanted to make sure that he kept as cool as possible – while also getting enough vitamin d that he didn't end up becoming a hermit when he was older, and as Aryia stretched on the bed, I knew that I'd probably have to go back and lie with them for a little bit; the thought was just too irresistible, especially since it was the first time we'd spent time apart since he was born. And Aryia and I wanted to make up for last night's party by cuddling with him on the bed.

Levi was still in the middle of his teething phase but his bottom middle teeth had already grown in, and somehow it made him even cuter. He hadn't had a temper tantrum about the pain for a few weeks – much to our gratitude – but he would likely have another one when his next pair erupted into his gums.

"Ugh, fuck~" Aryia whined as I laid back down next to him and Levi.

"What?" I asked.

"Kévin wanted to play golf with us later."

I raised an eyebrow. "And that's a bad thing, because...?"

"Because we're both half asleep and Levi can't even stand up, let alone hold a golf club."

"You can go if you want, I'll stay here and look after him."

"That's not fair." He pouted.

"Yes it is. Because you don't have to spend all of your time with the two of us."

"This coming from you who was saying how much you missed hanging out with me after I was helping Kévin with his proposal plan." He said, raising his eyebrows.

"That was different."

"How?"

"'Cuz we didn't know where either of you guys were or what you were doing." I explained.

He stretched and yawned. "I still don't know if I'm in the mood for it."

"Hey, you deserve to go and have fun with your best friend; especially since it's what he wants to do for his extended birthday party."

"Still not fair though." He reasoned, scratching the back of his neck. "I mean, you haven't seen Katia in months, and her birthday's coming up soon, right?"
