The next morning, I prepare breakfast for the two of us while staring at my ring in between the short intervals of waiting. I make sure to check the time before waking up Malfoy and he thanks me for making breakfast before the two of us get ready to go to work.
I make sure that I have my wand and cloak with me before spending half an hour with Lorelai and then apparating to Hogwarts. I choose to have a glass or orange juice while everyone else eats their breakfast and I talk to McGonagall for the majority of the meal.
"Is that new?" The woman questions, suspiciously eying my engagement ring and I nod my head. "It's gorgeous. Where did you find it?"
"Malfoy bought it me." I correct and she raises both of her eyebrows. The concept of Draco and I seems to confuse her, still, but she realises what hand it's on and her eyes soften.
"Congratulations, Miss Parker."
I smile in response and for the rest of breakfast, I tell her all about how Malfoy proposed to me before we have to get to lesson.
I arrive before any of the students so I choose to blow out all of the candles and to close the curtains to make sure that I'm in complete darkness. Once the students all arrive and take their seats, I cast Lumos and all of their eyes turn to me. "After learning this spell for a few days, I believe it's time to see how good you all are. We're sat in complete darkness because I want every single one of your wands to emit a white light by the end of the lesson. If you need any extra help then ask the person next to you or, if they don't know, then ask me and I'll give you some guidance. Is everyone okay with that?"
They all silently nod their heads and I smile. "Begin."
The hour is spent with everyone chorusing 'Lumos," and I help a few students with the right wand movement throughout the entire lesson. Rahoul is one of the students who mostly needs my help but when he gets it right, I secretly give him three house points for his resilience. However, by the end of the lesson, all of them have the light at the top of their wand and I congratulate every single one of them with a smile on my face.
After my first lesson of the day, I walk around the courtyard at break, but it makes me miss my friends, and Draco, so I hide back in my classroom and sit at my desk. I look around the room and reminisce about the days when I would spend my time in the classroom with Hermione, Harry and Ron. The nostalgia brings tears to my eyes so I decide to message Draco to get the tears to go.
Dray
Are you free?
While I wait for him to respond, I decide to clean up the classroom a little and I grab some feathers out for my next class.
Dray
Are you free?
Yeah, whats wrong?
Are you missing me already?I roll my eyes and sit back down at my desk. He's so unbelievably cocky — even though he's not wrong.
Dray
Are you free?
Yeah, what's wrong?
Are you missing me already?Don't be cocky.
Sighing, I sit back in my chair and put my head back, staring at the ceiling. My cellphone begins to ring and I check to see who it is; Draco. "Aren't you supposed to be teaching?" He asks me and I smile at hearing his voice again.
