With her schedule in hand, Oakland scanned over the sand colored paper as she bypassed the other high schoolers.
She had been attending Woodrow High for almost a month now and was still struggling to find her way around it. Being as though she wouldn't be 13 until December, she was the youngest student attending.
Just as she had finally figured out which direction she was supposed to go in, she noticed her. Amelia Childs. A snobby and uptight bogie 15-year- old black girl that felt entitled because she was one of the Senate's daughter.
"We'll if it isn't little Miss Annie." Amelia laughed, touching one of Oakland's braids as Oakland tried to pass her and her entourage.
"Leave me alone, Amelia." Oakland spoke, before being blocked by two of Amelia's friends. "Care to move?" She asked with a frown, just trying to make it in time for her Algebra class.
"Ooo, she's tough now." Amelia laughed from behind Oakland, before she walked around her as her and her two minions crowded her.
"Is there a problem I don't know about?" Oakland asked slightly tilting her head as she stared back at the trio. "I mean you constantly pick on me everyday with the help of your two henchmen." She said pointing at Amelia's friends who gasped at the name calling. "To me it's giving obsession. Mariah ain't teach y'all nothing, huh?" Oakland asked as she looked them up and down before walking away.
But not without singing, "You're delusional, you're delusional. Boy you're losing your mind." She laughed as she bypassed them and ran into her two friends, Alexa and Nicole.
