Day 4 Wanderer x Reader (Winter Weekends)

3rd Person Pov:

It was the fourth day of starting to get ready for Christmas and Wanderer was already being stubborn. Y/N wanted to go help out the townsfolk with him but he shook his head no and said that in all honesty he was just willing to help them and not some random people he didn't know. Y/N wasn't going to put up with it so they took him anyway leaving him annoyed.

"I already told you Y/N I may be nice but I'm nice to an extent!" He complained to them

"Well that's too damn bad, you know if you want to so called "change" like you told me you can start by just being nice even to strangers"

"I'm not good but I'm not bad either"

"And I don't care, now get over here!"

"Fine"

The first person you guys went to was your next door neighbor to the left. Y/N knocked on the door and waited for them to open the door. Wanderer and Y/N never really got the chance to see their neighbor since most of the time whoever was in there came out when Y/N and Wanderer didn't, what a coincidence. The door opened and you both saw an elderly woman who looked to be in her 70's. She smiled warmly at the both of you and put her hands behind her back.

"And what brings you two here?"

"Hi miss! Me and my boyfriend are helping around town and we wanted to start with you so, is there anything you would like help with?" You asked, awaiting her answer

"Oh how sweet! I just need help putting the star on my tree along with some decorations on my roof..and also some company since I am kind of by myself lately and it gets really lonely, I'll make cookies!" She said smiling wider seeming to get excited

Wanderer pulled Y/N aside and they looked confused as to why he was acting so suddenly.

"Are you serious? You're going in a stranger's house?"

"Babe, it's an old lady she's not going to do anything. And I'll just be aware if she does anything to the cookies or if she tries something we'll just run the hell out, she can't outrun us"

"You're so damn right, this is why you're my lover" he said kissing their cheek

"It's basic knowledge" they said turning back to the woman

"We'll start on the roof first ma'am!" Y/N said

"Excellent! Thank you so much you two" the lady said while going into her house to grab the boxes and containers of decorations

Both of you waited and she came back then handed you guys the boxes and containers. She closed the door and you guys stepped to the side walk, examining the house.

"So, how do you want to do this? She has floaties and lights and hanging decors, you know all that stuff"

Wanderer was going to speak but the elderly woman came out of her garage with a whole sleigh decoration that looked really realistic. Your jaws dropped and Y/N instantly went to go help her. She thanked them and let them push it with Wanderer following along after. After you both scooted the sleigh on the side of the house the first thing that was taken out was the floaties. Each one was placed in spaced out spots and turned on so that it was lighting up.

"I'm wrapping the lights around the place!"

"I guess I'll do the yard decorations and that giant ass nutcracker over there" Wanderer said, going to the nutcracker and putting it by the patio steps

"Can it crack your nuts?"

"WHAT? Y/N I swear to the archons shut up"

"But they're called nutcrackers for a reason"

"Y/N"

"Yes sir"

Y/N teased Wanderer the whole time they were decorating the ladies frontyard and at some point Wanderer just said "Fuck it" and almost left, but didn't because Y/N is too cute to refuse. When you guys were done you went inside and Wanderer put the star on the tree while you just sat in a chair and waited for the cookies.

"Damn those cookies were good I'm stuffed" Y/N told Wanderer who actually did not eat any cookies due to not liking sweets and not trusting them

"Don't die later"

"Stop that!"

"Oh come on, stop whining and keep walking, we're almost there"

Y/N groaned and fell, expecting Wanderer to catch her. When she fell straight to the floor Wanderer instantly helped her up.

"You'll live, it's literally just a few more steps and we're there don't be dramatic Y/N😒"

"It's too muchh"

"You'll survive"

Wanderer knocked on the door and instead of a friendly face, he was met with an angry looking man with a broom.

"Jeez and I thought I was the angry one, where's your festive spirit?" Wanderer said

"Shut up and get off my lawn! Both of you!" The man said

"Well we were just wondering you needed help with anything old man"

"I-actually..I do need some help wrapping up these gifts..I'm upset because I don't think I have a way to get to my children! But I still want to wrap their presents up anyway and I tried to get their mother to bring them over but she's..very stubborn" the man said looking down sadly

"Well no worries! We'll help you wrap it up! Therefore you got some company!" Y/N chimed in

"Oh thank you! You guys just made my day better and uh, sorry for coming off rude at first I'm not usually this grumpy old man" the man chuckled

"No worries!"

He stepped aside and let you guys in. The rest of the day you and Wanderer just helped out, occasionally stopping for a break and getting some food.

"Jeez my legs hurt! I think I'm going to bed we'll do something tomorrow now come on let's cuddle!" Y/N said stretching their arms out

"Alright alright, but don't try and make me little spoon again"

"I can't promise you that"
