Chapter 19: A Late Night Drink

Some months had passed, you and Sans had made your relationship official, letting your friends know you were officially taken so they could stop matchmaking you. You were of course refering to two specific individuals, Catty and Bratty. it was now winter and sure did it freeze your-  well it was really cold outside. Even the forest felt deserted with no green leaves or any leaves at all. Sans had explained to you about Souls in more detail.  It was the very being of him, body and Soul as one. His body was his Soul and his Soul was his body… humans were different, they did have Souls but their bodies wasn't made out of their Soul's magic like Monster's being was. You knew Monsters was made of magic but the Soul thing was new. The thing you had seen in his ribcage had been a white up-sidedown heart that glowed blue, just like the color of his blushes and bat wings. Catty and Bratty had said something about Souls to you but not too into detail.

Monsters usually bonded with their Souls when they… met their intended? You assumed binding with your Souls was like human marriage. It was how Sans explained it, when bonding with someone, the two became Soulmates. Since you weren't a Monster you assumed it wasn't possible for you and Sans to become Soulmates, which you did feel bad about seeing as he had been very passionate speaking about it. But if he loved you and you loved him, the two of you didn't need anything like that. You only needed each other… right?

"Heya there Honeybunch, spacing out?" A certain someone spoke as they flicked the bell on your Witch's hat making you flinch out of your stupor. Ah yes, Papyrus, he didn't let you off the hook easily and made it his mission to fluster you every chance he got by using your boyfriend as ammo. You thought he would have gotten overprotective against you dating Sans but no, he didn't say anything against it, actually he was kind of smug about it… guess he approved of you dating his very precious brother. "Thinkin' about someone? Is it me?" You rolled your eyes at him, Sans had asked if you wanted to have a movie night at his place but he had work and would be home late but you could enter the house whenever you wanted… he had given you a spare key… perhaps you should do the same and give him the key to your place. Not that he needed it, you had windows he could enter from after all… hehehe. If you told him that, he would definitely scowl at you in a cute manner.

"Why would I be missing you when you're already here?" You rolled your eyes at him as you made everything ready for when Sans came back from work… the two of you were gonna have a movie night and of course Papyrus came to bother you… it was his house and you were the one technically invading his space but still, you were allowed to be in here!

"So ya do miss me when I'm not here?" You hummed in though at that, did you miss him? If you didn't see him for awhile sure but right now… you certainly didn't not if he's not gonna help you get things ready. "Depends on my mood" You shrugged as you got two blankets for you and Sans. "It wasn't a no and I'll take that as an absolute win" You laughed at that, gosh both of the skeleton brothers were dorks but in different ways.

"Sooo… what movie?" Papyrus asked you, he kind of wanted to join the movie night but he wasn't sure if he should crash it. You didn't know he and his brother were okay with the both of them dating you and you were only dating one of them right now. He didn't figure you as the cheating type… especially with your familial problems regarding it. "Actually have no idea, Sans picked it" You just let Sans pick whatever he wanted? He sure had you under his thumb, heh. But you also had both of them under yours so it was a fair trade. His brother had definitely chosen a movie that would send you to sleep during it and you had no idea whatsoever. "Is that so? Sounds fun" He said as he laid himself on the sofa with a lazy grin. "Are you low key asking if you could join? If so, stop dancing around it and just ask" You had caught onto his intentions so quickly it surprised him but he shouldn't be… you could be sharp but oh so dense at times.
