Wedding Part-2

On the day of the wedding,

Dushala had washed up the haldi from the day before but she was still wearing the clothes and the jewellery.
She was unable to believe anything,
Just a few months back she thought that she would be married to a despicable man who would not respect her but now here she was getting married to one of the most honourable men in Aryavarth and about to become the queen of one of the strongest Kingdoms of Aryavart and being married to somebody who she feels genuine affection for, somebody who respects her and treats her like an equal.

She was just sitting in front of the mirror contemplating life, she had just completed the Gauri-Ganesh puja.

The Three Sisters of her soon-to-be husband came rushing inside her room with her Shaadi Ka Joda and jewellery,
Sitara smiled at her hugged her from behind and asked," Kya baat hai Hone Wali bhabhishri, Itni Gumsum Kyon Baithe Hain?" Dushala looked at her with Tears in her eyes as she said," Apne prarabdh per Vishwas Nahin ho raha hai Tara. Kahan main use Sindhu Naresh jaidrath se Vivah karne wali Thi Aur Kahan Aaj Vijaynagar ke Samrat se Vivah kar rahi hun, kahan ho bhai jo Mujhe Kabhi Apne Sar Mathe per Bitha Ke rakhte the vah Aaj sirf Kartavya pura karne ke liye Aaye Hain."

Sitara gently wipes her tears and says,"  dushala, Tumhare bhaiyon Ka To Main Kuchh Nahin kar sakti parantu Tumhen is baat ka Vishwas Jarur Dila sakti Hun Ki Vijaynagar Mein Tum sadaiv prasann rahogi Main Aur Meri Bahane Hamesha tumhare sath rahenge, Tumhare Is Jivan ke har Pag per Main Aur Meri Bahane Ne tumhare sath Rahenge aur Ab tum bhi to Hamari bahan hi ban jaaoge. Chalo Achcha hai mujhe Akele ko JEST hone ka Bhar Nahin Uthana Padega." She jokes in the end and hugs dushala one more time before saying," Achcha chalo ab Rona dhona bahut Hua Ab shighra ATI shighra taiyar ho jao Kyunki Hamare bhrata Tumhari besabri se partiksha kar rahe hain aur pura Vijaynagar bhi."

Then the three sisters started helping Dushala get ready, Meera was not present there because she was busy making sure that all the decorations were on point. Sitara started doing her hair, Draupadi started collecting the ornaments that she was going to wear today and Priya started helping her were the Shaadi Ka Joda,
It was the most beautiful Maroon lehenga with goldwork and precious gemstones attached to the lehenga,
A Shear red Dupatta with gold bordering, A big jadau statement neckpiece, Diamond Matha Patti,
Hair pulled back in a perfect bun,
Jadau earrings and a big Nath,
A traditional chuda and diamond rings completed her beautiful look.

By the time she was done getting ready
The priest had requested the bride to come to the podium.

Divyansh was sitting at the wedding podium waiting for the beautiful woman whom he had fallen in love with within just a few meetings,
The priest finally called for the bride and in just a few moments she was descending from the stairs looking like an absolute Angel from the heavens.

His two sisters followed behind her,
Priya and Draupadi helped her sit next to him, as the Pandit Ji started the mantra uchharan. After the completion of some initial Pooja, the Pandit Ji requested them to start the Saptapadi,

In the first round, Maharaj Divyansh promises to make sure that she is always fulfilled when it comes to material needs and she promises to take care of whatever material things he earns and look after their house.

In the second round, Maharaj Divyansh promises and assures her that she will be the only Swamini or lady of his house and the queen of his Kingdom and heart,
She promises to to manage his house to the best of her ability accept her own and look after his Kingdom and subjects as if they were her children.

In the third round, Maharaj Divyansh promises to always be just kind and always follow the path of Dharma,
And that she will be the controller of the wealth of his family,
She promises to always be with him in every act of righteousness and correct him when he goes wrong, she promises to consult him before making any major decisions.

In the fourth round, Maharaj Divyansh promises, promises to trust all her decisions regarding their household,
To trust her judgement in homely matters, he promises to dedicate himself to aiding her in all worldly matters,
While she promises, to strive and make their home their own Little World and to be always happy with whatever he can provide.

In the fifth round, Maharaj Divyansh promises to always involve her in matters of state and respect her opinion when it comes to ruling The Kingdom,
He also entrusts her with the duty of maintaining the royal expenditure,
In this round, she promised to always take care and give the best opinion that you can when it comes to matters of state always aid him to the best of her abilities and maintain the royal expenditure in a controlled manner.

In the sixth round, Maharaj Divyansh promises, to always be there for her,
to love her, to Cherish her, to respect and to protect her and any children that they get in this marriage. He promises to be the best father that he can be to his children. And she promises,
To always be there with him in situations of grief and happiness,
To be his undying support system,
To be the earth that takes care of him and any children that they have in this marriage.

In the 7th round, Maharaj Divyansh announces that he has officially accepted her in his Vamangini
as his Ardhangini, he promises to spend all the Seasons of his life with her and their children,
And she happily accepted being in his Vamangi as his Ardhangini, and you promise to fill all seasons of his life with the most beautiful colours of love and care.

Pandit Ji announces that the Saptapadi has been completed and now it is time for the mangalsutra and sindoor dan,
Divyansh takes the mangalsutra from the Pooja plate and ties it around the neck of Dushala as he says,
" This is a sacred thread.
This is essential for my long life.
I tie this around your neck,
O maiden has many auspicious attributes!
With me may you live a hundred auspicious years happy and content."

Then he takes a bit of sindoor which was used in the pooja and puts it between the partition of her hair.
And some of it falls on her nose which represents that the bridegroom loves his bride very much and this causes everybody to erupt with joy,
And with that the marriage is declared completed.
