@kayleeflynn: days like these🎨

Kaylee's POV:

"Have you packed yet?" I hear Maisie ask over the phone laying on my bed currently. I take a look at the empty suitcase sitting on my floor and make a pout. I'm supposed to be leaving early tomorrow morning for our flight to Miami

"Um no" I said now realizing the time I don't really have to pack. I can basically feel her roll her eyes at me. This wasn't very typical of me, but to be fair usually I wasn't so anxious to go anywhere then I am right now.

"On my way" I hear her say before the phone call cuts. I walk over to my closet and run my fingers through all my clothes hanging up. What does one pack to see their ex boyfriend?

Okay so first things first; bikinis, panties and my cowboy boots, priorities am I right?

I hear my bedroom door open and my best friend's boots hitting the wood floors.

"In here" I yell out from my closet, my best friend walking in my closet in her sweats and sweater.
"This is so unlike you, what's wrong" she ask, I give her a look and she just stares back at me unimpressed, she knows my feelings towards this weekend, I want to be there for Logan but I haven't seen Oscar in almost 3 years, it sounds pitiful really, but there was a point in my life where I was sure we were going to get married. I had a promise ring for Christ sakes, which by the way is still sitting in my jewelry box. Even though at this point I've almost- key word almost- accepted the fact that it's not going to happen, there's still a little part of me that's really holding out for him. This alone is enough to make my friends annoyed with me, but no one has come along and made me think otherwise. My career has really taken off and was something I was focused on for so long. Although I feel like if I win an award, I'm going to have to thank Oscar for really putting me through the wringer and giving me the inspiration to write.
