Los Angeles September 10, 2020 *Loreleis Pov* I am now a Junior in high school, although I'm still 16, people don't know that. It's a Thursday afternoon and I just got out of my 7th period class. I'm walking to my locker and see Julie and Flynn standing at my locker waiting for me, "Hey guys!" I say to them when I get to my locker.
They both said hello back, Julie said it while dazing off at Nick and Flynn said it while looking at Carrie.
"Oh come on Nick, still?" I ask her, the protective side of me coming out a little. "Nick's a sweetheart." She said, still giving him heart eyes before breaking her gaze when he walked away.
Flynn finally tuned into the conversation and spoke up, "Mhm yeah and you'd actually have to talk to him to know that"
"Do you know what you're going to play for Mrs. Harrison today?" Flynn asked Julie in a hopeful tone. Julie hasn't played or sang anything since our mom died a year ago. Julie responded kind of sad, "I'll know in the moment" That's when I zoned out.
I started to think about how I also haven't really played anything since mom died, well at least not anything in front of alive people. I also had to perform today and didn't really prepare anything either. Nonetheless, I had an idea of what I would do.
