I groaned as my alarm went off at 8:00 am, I politely pressed snooze and rolled over falling asleep. My alarm went off again with the time saying 8:30 and I decided to get up so I wouldn't be late for my first class. My dream job is to be an ultrasound tech so when I found out the community college 15 minutes away from my house had the program it was only right that I went after I graduated high school plus the program is only 2 years compared to me being in school for 4 years I definitely love that.
"RYAN" Nasir yelled from down the hall, I hate when that nigga start yelling all early in the morning and shit. "What nas" I yelled from my room I looked up and he was standing at my door "I was just making sure you were up, I know you woulda been pissed if you woke up late" he said "Aww thanks that's why you're my favorite brother" I said. "Nigga what I'm your only brother" he said and walked away before I could say anything.
Me and Nasir live together in a high rise apartment downtown Atlanta. Our parents bought it for us and said we wouldn't have to worry about the bills as long as we did good with our studies. Nasir is in his last year at Morehouse and is studying to be an oral surgeon.
Pushing play on my morning playlist I heard partynexdoor split decisions come through the speakers in my bathroom. I stepped into the shower with the hot water hitting me and I cringed and jumped back I had that shit entirely too hot. I adjusted it to the perfect temperature and continued with my shower. After about 20 minutes I got out, brushed my teeth and did my face routine and finally went in my room to pick out what I'm wearing for the day.
Looking through my closet I decided that I didn't want to be too extra with my outfit, after moisturizing my body with palmers coco butter body oil and my vanilla cashmere lotion by eos I threw on a black bodysuit with my cute brown boots and the brown coat I bought to match.

I unwrapped my hair and fixed my side part the best that I could, I added all of my jewelry and made sure I had everything in my purse and book bag.
Finally I sprayed my favorite perfume Burberry her elixir all over my body, looking at my self in the mirror and damnnn I look good. I heard a soft knock on my door.
"Come in" I said over my music "Alright ry I'm about to head out" nas said "Okay I love you and be safe" "I love you too and I will, you be safe to homegirl" he said and laughed as he walked out my room and out the house.
Walking into the kitchen I grabbed a water and a plum and sat at the island. After scrolling on instagram I decided to text my girlies to see if they wanted to do brunch since my last class ends at 1:00
Homegirls🌸 Me: Goodmorning sistas, my last class ends at 1:00 yall wanna do brunch at sunshine's??
Tia💕 Ouuu yes I been wanting some of they French toast I'm down

I hearted all of the messages and looked at the time it and it was 9:45. My first class starts at 10:15 so I needed to get a move on. After I locked my house up I made my way to my car, a 2022 gray Kia stinger gifted from my parents as a graduation present.
Connecting my phone to my Bluetooth I decided on playing in the air by Destin Conrad and made my way to school.
Hours later
My classes for today were finally over and I happily made my way to my car ready to get some food and mimosas with my homegirls. Me, kapri, Shantia and Deasia met junior year of high school, we all had just moved schools and since we were new our home room teacher sat us next to each other and now we are inseparable. Pulling up to sunshine's and after finding a parking spot I checked my hair and added lipgloss to my lips and made my way into the building.
Walking in I see tia and Dede sitting at a booth in the corner, the lady at the front greeted me with a smile and I smiled back of course "Hi, how you doing today" she asked me " I'm good and you"I said " I'm doing fine thanks for asking, will it just be you today or do you have more ppl coming" she asked " I'm actually joining someone and I see them" I told her "Okay you go right ahead and enjoy" she said, I said thank you and walked to the booth.
"Heyyy" I said while walking up, I hugged Both of them and sat down "I ordered strawberry mimosas for us while we wait on kapri to get here" Tia told me "Ouu okay, so how has life been" I asked them
They both told me how life has been and how their day went and as Tia was finishing I saw kapri walking up to the table
"Hello beautifuls" kapri said as she hugged us and sat down "Hey girll, we were doing life updates so you're next" I told her
As she finished telling us the waiter was walking up to our table
"How you ladies doing today I'm Chris and I will be serving yall, what can I get started for drinks" "I would like a strawberry lemonade please" Deasia said "I will take the same thing please " I told him "Can I get a mango lemonade please" kapri said "Can I get the same thing as well and can we have another round of strawberry mimosas please" she said to him "Yes of course, I will be right out with those drinks ladies" he said and walked away
"Let me tell y'all, do yall remember when we went to that party like almost two months ago and that dude asked for my number" I said They said yes so I continued with my story " so everything was going good we went on a couple of dates and was kicking it or whatever, why after like our 3rd date he went ghost and I'm like damn okay. One night I was sleep and it was 3 in the morning, why this nigga was calling me from jail. Talking about some damn I been locked up, I was driving with my license expired and they found my switch I had in the car" I told them
"What the fuck he call you for" Kapri said while laughing Deasia and Tia laughed and said right
" yall why that nigga said can you bail me out and if they don't post my bail I need you to hold me down, y'all I politely hung up and blocked him cuz wtf yo" I said Just as Deasia was about to respond her phone started ringing "Hey babe"she said talking to her boyfriend Jaylen which is also me and nasir's cousin Before she ended the conversation she took her AirPod out and handed me the phone " gottt damnnn yo forehead big as a bitch just letting you know me and Jordan coming over later" he said while laughing and hung up "When I see him I'm slapping the shit out of the back of his neck and don't stop me" I said to Deasia while laughing and handing her back her phone
The waiter came back and took our food orders and we just talked and talked until our food came. While I'm eating my food my phone buzzed on the table

Jaylen and Jordan are our cousins on our mommas side, we so close it's damn near like we all siblings. Im tired of being the only single one of the group. Tia and my brother date , Jaylen and kapri date, then Deasia and Jordan date, then there's me the lonely one.
