SHE SIGHS and runs her hands through her messy ponytail. "You really aren't gonna like this, Ghost. But I suppose I should tell you now. Cause if Phillip mentions any of it... I don't want to risk losing you if I haven't already."
He doesn't move in the doorframe. "Tell me."
Licking her lips nervously, she gathers her thoughts. "Do you remember back when we were working with KorTac? And we caught those Shadow members? Back in January."
He nods silently.
As Ellie is about to keep speaking, Soap appears behind Ghost and she pauses. They both look at the Scot expectantly. His blue eyes look between Ghost and Ellie.
He clears his throat awkwardly. "If this is a bad time, I can-,"
"What is it?" Ghost interrupts, voice sharp.
"Price and Gaz are about to be here with a hostage. They want an interrogation room set up now," Soap tells them.
Ghost pushes away from the door frame. "You two go to one of the empty offices. Set up a few chairs. I'll be back." He turns to Ellie with his brows set firmly. "We'll finish this conversation soon."
He walks away then and goes outside, Ellie biting down on her lip as she stands from the couch. Soap raises an eyebrow at her as they walk down the hallway.
"That seemed tense," he comments.
Ellie laughs shortly. "Yeah, it was."
They rearranged the furniture and set up three chairs in the room. When they finish the door bursts open to the office and Ghost has an unconscious man slung over his shoulder. He carries him around like it's nothing.
Price and Gaz follow behind him, the group watching as Ghost sets the man down in a chair. Gaz works on tying him up with ropes.
"Miller," Price states, grabbing Ellie's attention. "Go grab some of the tools left in the maintenance room."
She stills, asking, "Any preference?"
"Something sharp," Ghost chimes in darkly, eyes on the man in the chair.
"You got it," she replies, walking out of the room briskly and going to grab the rusted tools they want.
She has had her fair share of bloody interrogations. She's done... terrible things to get information out of people. Unfortunately for the enemies, fortunately for her — she's pretty effective.
When she walks back, Gaz, Soap, and Nikolai are outside in the hallway. The door is shut.
"He awake?" Ellie asks quietly, them nodding in response. She knocks on the door twice.
Price opens it, the room being dim, only the light from the one window coming in. "Set it up how you want to on the desk," he tells her, Ellie walking in slowly.
