Ch. 54: Orion's Frustrations and Firefrost's strength

It has been about a week since Firefrost has been back at base and Orion was getting frustrated with her. She did answer her questions, but she was more sarcastic and talks with more people in the base, and unlike the past she was not in his shadow nor overlooked, this time it was Orion that was in her shadow and overlooked. It was bothering him to no end, especially since this was not how he remembered Firefrost was like, she was completely different. Even Megatronus, who was also bothered with how different she was, was adjusting to her better than Orion was. Firefrost was trying to bring him out and open up to the others, but she noticed that only Megatronus could do it, which was annoying her, as Ratchet and Soundwave enjoyed the show. In fact, everyone outside of the three found it amusing as it was a silent argument, and this time, Megatronus was the one trying to solve things between the other two instead of Firefrost.

"For Primus sake, what does she know?! She hasn't been in the majority of the war, or even in the base a while and she thinks she could just walk in as if she owns the place. God, why is this so annoying?" Orion asked Megatronus, who was just watching his friend pace back and forth, ranting angrily to himself and to Megatrounus. Megatronus just rolled his eyes, as he had a better understanding of why Firefrost is the way she is.

"Not to offend you, but have you tried to have a civil conversation that is not questions? Also, we got to take into account, we lost our memory and she hasn't, she isn't going to be what we remember since so much time has passed to consider that she can clearly change. We do not know everything Orion, Firefrost has been alone, to my knowledge, for eons, before she had any cybertonian contact, she has changed Orion, and we must accept that fact," Megatronus stated, watching as Orion sighed and sat down. Orion looked at him hurt. "I am not saying you are wrong to feeling frustrated and hurt by the way she changed, Primus, even I am uncomfortable with it, but what can we do? We both are not smart enough to create time travel, and we can't force her to be something she is not, Orion."

"I just want my innocent sister back, Megatronus, and that Firefrost is definitely not innocent," Orion sighed as Megatronus sighed in return, as he never believed that Firefrost was innocent.

"I don't even think her younger self was innocent, she was just very good at withholding and hiding her pain, that when she embraces it, it doesn't seem to be her," Megatronus commented. Orion looked at him in confusion, not understanding what the older mech was getting at. Megatronus understood what the look meant and sighed. "Orion, before you met her, and became tied to the hip, where did she live before?"

"She lived on the streets, why?" Orion answered, curious.

"Excatly, I lived on the streets, in human terms, two years, and I could barely survive and handle it. Those two years, were the worst years of my life and that was before I joined the gladitorial rings. If I wasn't already traumatised, I was most certainly traumatised then," Megatronus answered as Orion looked at him shocked, not really wanting to believe it. "In the mines, I at least got energon as needed, maybe not a lot, but just enough. On the streets, I went without energon for days or weeks at a time while constantly having to fight others on the streets and those with homes. Now understand, I only went through two years of that, she went through eons of that, of constant survival. Firefrost is stronger than she let us know, and I do believe that she let you take the spotlight, probably because she did not feel worth taking the space. In addition, she did still fight in a bit of the war, and she had to fill the time and space when she was alone for eons, and the time to heal. Think about it like that, would she take her spotlight prior to this if given the opportunity?"

"I never thought of it like that," Orion muttered as Firefrost walked in deep in thought clearly thinking of something. She was muttering too quietly for Orion and Megatronus to hear and she was clearly not paying attention to where she was walking as she ran into a wall.
