Ch. 13: Fatal Sickness

I was finally returning to America. Jack, Raf, Miko, and the other Autobots ground bridged home early this morning. I was packing the last few things that I needed for America. Optimus and I decided to get BFF lockets carved with our names before going to Anouk's home. We are in our fall season, so it does get darker earlier. I am picking them up before I go to the airport.

"Are you ready, Oriana?" Breylon asks. I look up at him giving him a sad smile. He was leaning against the doorframe.

"If I was being honest, I don't know," I told him truthfully. He walked into the room closing the door behind him. I sat down on the bed and he came to sit next to me.

"What's wrong, Oriana?" he asks kindly. He put a hand on my shoulder as I looked down.

"It's like any other time that I leave. I'll miss you guys. But I also want to be in America, with my friends, with the Autobots. I am already getting close to them, and I am afraid something is going to happen that will either hurt me or them. I don't want to put anyone at risk," I told him, as I felt a few tears go down my face.

"Look, I know you are going through a hard time right now, but you are not putting anyone at risk. You are a capable person and I get that you're afraid to get close. I was afraid to get close to people, even with the team, but you gotta understand that your friends are capable of handling themselves," he told me. I looked at him with a smile.

"Thanks, Breylon. We should probably go before I miss my plane," I said, drying my face. Breylon nodded as he helped me get my suitcase to the car. We obviously took the car that we used when we went to the concert, as it was the only car that could fit all of us. We did stop at the locket store so I could pick up the two lockets.

"What are the lockets for?" Brittany asked.

"Oh, Optimus and I stopped at the store before coming home, because I wanted something to take home that is not clothes," I told them as we continued driving to the airport. We said our goodbyes when we got to the airport. I went into the airport as I had enough time to board the plane. I did have some food to eat and a book to read so I would not be bored. I finished the book and a few movies by the time the plane landed at the airport near Jasper, Nevada. I grabbed my luggage, heading out as soon as I could. Optimus was waiting outside in his holo form. I walked up to him, giving him a hug. "It's good to see you again, even though I saw you over 13 hours ago."

"I know. But let's get you to your home," Optimus said when he helped me with my duffle bag. We walked to his truck as we put my bags into his truck. Once we were inside, Optimus deactivated his holo form driving off from the airport. I turned on the radio as we listen to the songs. On occasion, I did sing a song if I liked the song. Other than that, we drove in silence. We did agree to drop off my stuff at my house before going to the base. We got to my house very quickly, as I grabbed my stuff to put it in my living room. I was going to unpack later. I got back in as it took us a few minutes to get to the base.

"Guess who back?" I said as I got out of Optimus, who transformed as soon as he could.

"How was the plane ride back, Oriana?" Miko asked as I walked up to the human area.

"Long, and tiring. But I kept myself distracted and awake," I informed her as I sat down on the couch taking out my phone. "Now if you will excuse me, I am going to ignore you guys for the rest of my time here and I am going to my music on blast."

"Rude," Miko said right as I put in my headphones, playing my music. I lean back onto the couch, closing my eye. Soon enough, I fell into darkness as sleep consumed me.

So I have been back in Jasper for about 2 days and my sleep schedule is slowly going back to normal. Currently, everyone was at the base, some working, some playing. I was currently playing the racing video game with Miko, and I was winning. Bulkhead was cheering Miko on as I had Bumblebee cheering me on.
