Modern AU - Helpless

modern au again, this time, they're a bit older than high school I would say, in their adultery age

This is an idea that sparks and wanted to make it before it despark or smth.

Some background explanation before we start: Yronica and Callum is a power couple since high school (in which they love each other actually here). The friendgroup still exist but eman and aaaqil be heartbroken

We'll try to make it work, and with my bad skill at making songfic, we'll hope this work and make sense

"Ooo I do I do I do I Dooooo! Heeey!" Yronica was singing in joy, "Ooo I do I do I do I doooo!"

She looked at Callum and smiled, "Boy you got me helpless! Look into your eyes and the sky's the limit I'm Helpless! Down to the ground and I'm drowning in them!"

The flashback moments back to when they just met. She was dancing with Aaaqil, who just hung around because it was the start of the high school years. It was a winter dance that the school have, Aaaqil was her only friend. Back when she was... nicer.

"I had never been the type to try and grab the spotlight

We were at a revel with some rebel in a hot night

Laughin' at my friend as he dazzling the room

And you walked in and my heart went 'Boom'"

The first moment, Callum walked in with Eman. Because they were friends, deciding that they should go to the ball together for shit and giggles (pov: me and my friends)

"Tryin' to catch your eye from the side of the ballroom

Everybody's dancin' and the band's top volume

Grind to the rhythm as we wine and dine

Grab my friend and whispered 'Yo this one's mine'"

She remembered turning to Aaaqil and telling him that. She was too wrapped up being helpless to noticed that her friend might just feel the same way.

"He made his way across the room to you

And I got nervous thinking 'What's he gonna do?'

He grabbed you by the arm and I'm thinking I'm through

Then you looked back at me and suddenly I'm helpless!"

Yronica also noticed Eman watches her at the time, not in a judgy 'is she good for him' way but a different way. She couldn't quite place it. But it was probably nothing, not as much of a highlight of the night.

As they got closer, she could hear them.

"Where are you taking me?" Callum asked playfully.

"I'm... about to change your life," Aaaqil had answered, he looked like he just pass up an opportunity. But Yronica pay no attention to him at the time.

"Then by all means lead the way" They got to Yronica. She was wearing a dazzling black dress with gold sequin, going all out on a silly school dance (Prom Night Skin)
