VIVIAN'S POV

I'm in a much better mood today. My classes are going fine. Nothing dramatic is happening in my life right now. I checked my watch and saw it was time for my shift.

As I was walking towards the exit? I saw 4 huge men walking inside looking around as if they were trying to find someone. Their neck were covered so I couldn't identify if they were Ace or Silas's men.

I quickly and quietly went into the classroom. I hid behind one of the desks. After a few seconds, the gate suddenly opened. I held my breath. He looked around a few times then left. I went towards the door and peeped outside.

I made a run towards the exit before they came back again. I took a deep breath and drove towards the cafe.

Maybe it's high time that I quit my job and focus on college for a while. It is my final year and maybe if I work a little hard I could sell some of my work and earn money. And then I won't have to rely on my other side job.

Suddenly my phone rang. It was Stella. "Hey. Where are you?" She asked. "College. Leaving for work now." I responded Driving out of the parking lot. "Okay, I'm going over to Max's. Call me if you need me." She said.

"Max?"I asked again as I didn't listen properly. "Yeah," she replied. "Okay," I mumbled and she hung up. I knew Stella was sort of dating Max. She told me everything about it. I think it started after that hotel basement. She says it's complicated with him.

I still haven't told her about Silas being my dad. The thing is even I can't accept that Silas is my fucking dad who died. I just hope those men at college weren't my fathers.

I parked outside the cafe. I groaned and went inside. "Hi, Amy." I greeted her as I wore an apron. "Hi Viv," she said making coffee. I started doodling as always until a customer came in.

"Viv?!" Amy said beside me and I just hummed in response. "Customer." She said and I looked up. A car pulled through. I went back to the doodling until the person came up to the counter.

The door opened and I looked up. Ace and Maddy. Maddy was with me in high school and college. She is dumb and rich. "What can I get you?" I asked with a neutral face. "You go ahead. I will order." He said to Maddy and she nodded her head like a puppy. She gave me a sharp look before going towards the table.

"I need to talk to you! About your father." Ace said. "Not in the mood. Now order or leave" I said. "Viv. Please." He pleaded.  "Ace. Not now." Before he could answer Alex came beside me.

He reached towards me and kissed my cheeks. "Hi," I said with a tight smile. Seriously his timing couldn't be worse. "Hi. I'm Ace." He said extending his hands. "Yeah, I know. You are kinda famous here." Alex said shaking it. He let out a small chuckle."We were in a private conversation." Ace pointed out and Alex looked at me.

"I will see you in a few minutes, Alex. It's important." I said rubbing my forehead. He gave Ace a look and went outside. "Now where were we?" He declared.

"Ace Not Now. I promise I will answer all your questions but not now. Plus Maddy is glaring at me which is frankly creeping me out. Now order."

He sighed in defeat and left. Maddy saw this and came towards me. "What did you say to him?" She cried and ran out of the cafe. I just rolled my eyes and went back to my doodling.

"What just happened?" Amy asked letting out a small sigh. "Don't know. Don't care. It's been like this since school." I said with a small laugh.

I completed my shift. It was around 7 pm and I was too exhausted to do anything else. As I was walking towards my car I saw a shadowy figure in the distance. It was too dark to recognize his face but by the outline of his body, I could figure out that the guy was built.

A truck passed flashing its headlights on the figure. My body became numb as I saw my father standing there looking at me with a malicious smile. Suddenly my phone rang and I looked down. It was Amanda.

Before answering I glanced towards him again. But he was gone. Disappeared. I answered the call. "Viv? When are you coming home?" Ethan asked. "I'm leaving now," I said as I sat in the driving seat.

"Can you bring me some ice cream?" He asked. I mumbled a yes and hung up. The way he looked at me. I won't be able to forget that smile he gave me.

On my way home I picked up Ethan's ice cream. I also picked up our dinner cause I didn't want to cook today.

I opened the front gate and Saw Ethan and Amanda sitting on the couch watching TV. "Ethan?" I called from the kitchen counter and he came running in.

"Viv. My ice cream?" he said jumping up and down. "After dinner," I said preparing his plate. He pouted as I handed him his food.

"I promise. After dinner." I said as he went and sat on the dining table. "Amanda Dinner?" I asked. "No Viv. I have to go. My boyfriend is cooking today." She said packing her things.

"Ohhh date night..." I said with a smile as she blushed. She let out an awkward chuckle and left.

Ethan finished his food, ate his ice cream and then dozed off. I wasn't feeling sleepy so I decided to paint and complete my assignment. I am curious to know if this one will turn out well or not.
