2. Dinner with Parents

Rudransh's mind was consumed with thoughts of the successful deal as he drove to the restaurant. He couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment, knowing that the company he had built from scratch was now on the path to even greater success. However, amidst his excitement, there was a lingering feeling of emptiness. He couldn't shake off the feeling that something was missing in his life.

As he entered the restaurant, he spotted his family already seated at a table near the window. His father, Mr. Areesh Singhaniya, looked proud of his son's achievements, while his mother, Mrs. Shwetanjali Singhaniya, beamed with joy. His elder sister, Sheetal, and her husband, Anuj, exchanged glances of admiration. Rudransh's younger brother, Shivansh, was engrossed in a conversation with his parents, unaware of Rudransh's arrival.

"Congratulations, Rudransh!" his father exclaimed, standing up to give him a warm hug. "We are so proud of you."

"Thank you, Dad," Rudransh replied with a smile. He greeted his mother and sister, expressing his gratitude for their support.

As they settled down, and they gave their order of food. And they enjoyed the dinner. Suddenly his father asked him a question which made him speechless and shocked because he was not prepared for it.

Mr. Singhaniya said to Rudransh " Beta now you are 27years old and we'll settled business man, you should think about marriage. I guess it's the right for you to get married and get settled in your life" his mother continued "I want to marry you with the sweet girl who can manage your tantrums" and started laughing. Rudransh became serious and said "ma I was going to talk about it. Actually I love a girl, she is very nice, beautiful and professionally she is a doctor. I want you to meet her"

Mrs. Sighaniya was shocked because she didn't expected about it but she maintained her expression and said " okay beta, as you wish. We'll meet her " Rudransh smiled and hugged his mother and said " I love you, ma. You are great"

After dinner Rudransh got a call from his company, he received the call and went outside to talk. When he was returning back he saw a girl she was sitting with her parents having the dinner but her mother was continuously insulting her.

Rudransh couldn't help but wanted to see that girl. Her eyes were swollen, and traces of tears stained her cheeks. Something about her struck a chord within him. He felt an inexplicable connection, as if their paths were destined to cross. But he decided to avoid that feeling and went back to his family.

Then they went back to their house. Rudransh remembered about Amisha text. But it was already midnight so he thought to talk to her tomorrow and he again drowned himself in his work.

Meanwhile on the Other side,

Sneha came back from the school. She was very tired because it was examination time and she was a class teacher, so she has to check a lot of answer sheets of the students.

She came and directly went to kitchen to drink the water. She saw her mother cooking food so she happily said "mumma, you know it was so tiring day. I am very tired .What is in lunch, Mumma I'm very hungry I'll be back after shower" her mother only said "hm" she felt little hurt but she ignored it.

After sometime she came back to dinning room. Her brother was sitting and scrolling through the phone. So she said "baccha phone baad mein use kr lena, pehle khana lo" at that moment her mother came and slapped her and said "who are you to instruct my son, worthless girl. You are such a useless girl. Now sit and have your food and go back to your room"

( dear, you can use phone afterwards, first eat your food)

Sneha felt like crying but she knew if she cried her brother will again tease her but now she was not feeling like eating food. So Sneha said "I don't want to eat , I'm not hungry" her mother said "why, now you are not hungry you are such an headache to me" and her brother said "let her cry mom she is just a drama queen, attention seeker" after listening all this her tears started flowing continuously and she left to her room.

It was evening, Mr. Saxena came back from his company and her brother asked him to take them to the restaurant. So Mrs. Saxena asked Swastik to tell Sneha to get ready to go to restaurant. Then everyone went to restaurant.

In the restaurant, Swastik ordered the food that he liked, everything was of Swastik's choice nobody cared about Sneha but she didn't mind it because for her they are her parents.

After sometime Mr.Saxena said "I think Sneha is now grown up and she should be married, she is already 24 years old and the big thing is that she is just our responsibility and we should marry her". Sneha felt hurt when her father said that she is their responsibility but she ignored it and said "but papa, I'm still very young and I have to fullfill my dreams. How can I marry to someone"

Her mother said "who are you to talk. And what dreams ha? You don't want to study you just want to be a teacher, such a useless profession. You will be married as soon as possible that's it"

Swastik said "she is such a weird girl who will marry her, she'll be alone forever" and started laughing. Mrs. Saxena said "don't worry we'll find someone according to our status, everyone should know how much we love our daughter. Otherwise what will society think about us"

She was looking at her lap and crying silently on her fate. She was thinking that this profession was of her mother's choice otherwise she wanted to be a software engineer but her mother forced her to choose teaching as her profession and now her mother is saying this to her profession.

They went back to their house everyone went to their respective rooms. Sneha used to write diary, not daily but on the days when something different happens to her life. She was feeling helpless for herself. She knew her parents will definitely marry her as soon as possible.

She always wanted a supportive and loving partner. But somewhere she didn't believe in her fate, because everything was messed up in her life. She never got something she dreamed about, she always compromised between her parents wishes and her dreams.

But life partner, she wanted a life partner of her choice. But this dream was also about to compromised for her parents wish.
