I Wanna Be Free

I wanna be free

From the Ring's influence on me

To return to the Hobbit I used to be

But if these wounds won't leave me

Then I must say goodbye

I wanna be free

Don't say time will fully heal me

I've waited so long to see

But time cannot mend me

So I travel across the sea

I wanna be me again

To be free of this stain

I want to free my mind

And though the Shire is kind

To wipe it from my heart

From the Shire I must part

I wanna be free

So farewell my dearest friends

Here where the Fellowship ends

I leave you with the book I penned

Again, my friends, I have to say

I wanna be free
