Broken

I'm just a broken soul,

With scars nobody sees,

I hide behind a smile,

But inside,

I'm on my knees.

I don't feel worthy of love,

I'm just a mess, not enough,

I build walls, push away,

Afraid to let someone stay.

 But maybe there's a chance,

To find worth in this dance,

To see beyond the flaws,

And embrace love's applause.

I look in the mirror's gaze,

But I don't recognize,

The person staring back at me,

Full of hurt and compromise.

 I stumble in my steps,

Wondering if I'll ever be,

Deserving of affection,

Or if it's too much for me.

I don't feel worthy of love,

I'm just a mess, not enough,

I build walls, push away,

Afraid to let someone stay.

 But maybe there's a chance,

To find worth in this dance,

To see beyond the flaws,

And embrace love's applause.

 Scared to let someone close,

Fearful they'll see my flaws,

But maybe vulnerability,

Could be my saving clause.

I don't feel worthy of love,

I'm just a mess, not enough,

I build walls, push away,

Afraid to let someone stay.

 But maybe there's a chance,

To find worth in this dance,

To see beyond the flaws,

And embrace love's applause.

So I'll take a leap of faith,

Believe I'm worth it all,

For love might just surprise me,

And catch me if I fall.
